Yikes. Looking at the pictures of the limited vinyl reminded me, for the first time since the news broke, that they have a song called “No Control.”

I genuinely cringed when i remembered.

He has to be so sad/depressed/dejected/embarrassed/remorseful etc...about the decision to do what he did, but also to release LP5, and sign off on this limited vinyl package right?

But what I’m getting at is that he has to have thought about how if LP5 was never a thing, could they have ended the band without any of this dispacableness coming to light. Right?

I get what you’re saying & dont disagree, but your missing my point. I’m saying now, after he’s been outted, he must be having second thoughts about having proceeded with the release of a 5th LP and reinventing interest in the band.

idk about the US, but here in Europe Monster sponsor/supports some really good bands, from While She Sleeps to Architects. Nothing to be ashamed of.

 

I had a period of unashamedly loving Papa Roach from Getting Away With Murder through to Time For Annihilation. No regrets.

 

Holy shit does Papa Roach really have 10 albums

 

Was hoping for a brown paper bag over the album with the words "Brand New" and "Science Fiction" on it. Now that's a limited edition!

 

I'll wait for more pictures and for reddit to figure out whatever these supposed scavenger hunts/clues lead to. I fear for them, though - someone genuinely suggested breaking the vinyl in case there's a hidden disc in there...while others are saying there'll be songs under the label. I mean...who is gonna risk tearing that up? I'm hoping the whole locked/alternate grooves talk is going to lead somewhere. Or that the CD does tie in with it...except I didn't get one.

Not enjoying the guilt attached to being excited about this. I figure, hey, I paid for it. Once it's here I can sort of just be done with it all for the time being.

 

I heard that the other day. Isn't it like some toddler singing? At least the 45rpm one is, I think. The 78rpm one just irritates me. Plus both sound horrendous, yeah. Hissing and just inaudible really.

 

I can’t wait to have a child. I will name it Roach. Papa Roach is my final form.

 

Fun fact - my friend's mum was speaking to the police last week. Somebody went missing that she knew. The officer asked her where she had last seen them, and she told the officer she had seen them at 'that pizza place round the corner, Papa Roach'. My friend lost it and just burst out laughing. He didn't even correct her. The police were apparently smirking the whole time.

Yeah, I saw his exclusive RSD day LP that had blue liquid inside it? I don't ever listen to the guy, but the vinyl he releases always seems kooky and cool.

 

Watching Papa Roach a few years back at Reading Festival after not hearing anything by them since the debut was surprisingly fun. Haven't listened to them since, but it wasn't as laughably terrible as I expected it to be.

I legitimately stopped reading that nonsense halfway through.

 

Please don't waste your valuable time thinking about it.
