I was glad there was no crawl in R1, but glad they still kept "a long time ago...". They need to separate the movies and that felt like the best way to do it was to eliminate the crawl.

 

Ugh, I don’t want any social media reactions this weekend...I have lots of keywords blocked but I might have to try to go fully dark.

 

In continutation of what I want to see in TLJ I want a big focus on Luke and Kylos relationship and their history. I think it could happen in Ep. 9 too so I wouldnt be upset if it wasnt in there

This is less of something I’d be upset if i didn’t see and more of just a fan fiction so sorry if this is long but fuck it Im a nerd. I want a scene where Kylo finally confronts Luke and is pumped to fight and kill him. They talk and Luke spits a bunch of wisdom in the scene and apologizes for not teaching him well.

Kylo ends up attacking but Luke doesnt flinch and Kylo stops right before beheading him and gets furious and doesnt understand why and tries to bait him to fight by telling him he killed Han and screaming in his face that he'll keep killing if he doesn’t stop him or something. Luke still refuses and reinforces what he did on the second death star and kind of confirms hell never go dark. that no matter how dark his life gets he'll always make the choice to transcend the dark side. At this point Kylo maybe throws one of his classic tantrums.

Hes always thought killing Luke would be his ultimate test to prove himself and fill the emptiness inside with the pride of proving that hes stronger than his master and the man who beat his idol, Vader (which is obvious but supported by TFA when Hux says "Don't let your personal interests interfere with orders from Leader Snoke" when wanting to find Luke and "youll never be as strong as Darth Vader"). And now Luke denies him this chance to do both because once again Luke chooses not to fight.

He eventually breaks down crying kneeling in front of Luke (which would be a cool shot) Luke knows his pride and insecurity about his abilities is his main weakness and defeats him without moving at all. (idk if theres any dragon ball fans in here but I liken it to when Roshi purposely jumps out of the ring against Tien and even though Tien wins and advances he doesn’t get why and it tortures him and eventually leads him to stop being a dick.)

 

I don't think we will see a Luke/Kylo battle, I don't even know that I necessarily want it. This is Rey's story for the most part, I would rather see her tested and victorious over Luke, because we've already seen that. Having Luke and Kylo square off and have Luke emerge the hero wouldn't seem fitting in this trilogy for me, idk. I do want a Luke/Kylo scene with good dialogue but I think that's it.

Rey vs Kylo that segways into Rey vs Snoke

Rey vs Luke? Wow.

Kylo vs Luke (I think they will have confrontation)

Finn vs Phasma

I'll go for broke here lol. If I just predict every possible fight I can't be wrong.

 

Yea I mean it wouldn’t be like the main story or the climax. Just something that happens. Maybe Rey gets captured and luke goes after her and has to face kylo first or something.

 

Rian himself described Rey and Kylo as “co-protagonists”, and there’s been hints we’re gonna get some of his backstory... I think Kylo is going to be a bigger focus than a lot of people are expecting.

 

well in the trailer we do see what looks like snoke interrogating/torturing rey so perhapss??

Ohh this sounds great. I've kinda wanted a Sith to be sort of a protagonist for a while

 

gonna read this for sure. mainly because i think it's great that someone who was so openly apprehensive about public fame and attention is choosing to now embrace it and do good, but also because i super have a crush on her.

It was pretty much a given based on officially released stuff, if you are connecting the dots. But it does confirm it. I am trying to avoid all new info, so I’m okay with what that was.

 

Marathon starts today, time to watch the Phantom Menace for the first time since middle school! I'm not doing machete order cause I want my excitement to build not die 3 days in lol.

 

Where are you guys watching the films? I've actually had a hard time finding any of the originals for reasonable prices. Are you renting from Amazon Prime or something?

 

I have everything on blu-ray, plus the Despecialized Editions on my Plex.

 

Yeah I own the bluray set, but I'm sure you can rent them in itunes for a few bucks each?

 

i decided to omit the prequels from the re-watch this time, just didn't seem necessary haha
