was hoping this was more of a career-spanning show but looks like it's 'in the wilderness'

I’ve seen him play as ITW three times and each time he also played old songs. Once he did a really great piano only version of “21 and Invincible.”

I'm thrilled. I've never had a chance to see Andrew McMahon, so I'll definitely be going to the Denver date.

wish he would do songs from all three of his projects, basically equally distributed. Would be great to hear some old SC songs done acoustically.

There's nothing to indicate that this won't be the case, necessarily. I would imagine with the size of the venues, and the fact that he's touring with two former Jack's members, that we'll get plenty of Jack's and SoCo stuff. I mean hell, on his last tour, which was to promote the new album, he played at least three old songs every night (five at my show).

I haven't seen him since the Final Riot tour. I'd love to go to this.

I saw him play Konstantine at the Dear Jack show last December and it made my entire life worthwhile.

he does also sometimes play it on other dates, although not recently but maybe this will be a more career spanning setlist so theres a small chance he could do it on this tour

Definitely hitting this up. The way he describes how this tour is going to be sounds awesome.

"I am both pleased and terrified to announce The Pen and the Piano Tour. An acoustic evening with me and my friends, Allen Stone, Zac Clark and bob oxblood (formerly of Jack’s Mannequin). I’m pleased because I’ll be boarding a bus with three dear friends, all gifted singer/songwriters to play 6 weeks of intimate shows around the United States. I’m terrified because I want this to be a totally unique concert experience, and the truth is I’m not exactly sure what that looks like yet. In my mind's eye it’s equal parts VH1 Storytellers and Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood. A stage where I can perform and tell stories about the songs I’ve written over the last two decades and where my friends can perform and tell their stories too. It will be weird and fun and honest. An exploration of the moments in between, that make a song worth writing."

I’ve managed to see him at least once a year for the past four years or so and I’m really grateful that I get to keep that up.

    Things have changed.

Having seen "Konstantine" a handful of times before, I'm fine never seeing it live again. It takes up 1/10th of his entire set, and there are plenty of other songs in his catalog I'd rather get three of than just one "Konstantine."
