Even after hearing the live version countless times, "True Love Waits" still gets to me and I have to take a short break after finishing the record before I press play again.

The one-two punch of "Identikit" and "The Numbers" is really doing it for me.

"Burn the Witch" sticks out so much on here, haha. Honestly kind of feels like it's a separate thing and this album starts with "Daydreaming".

Yeah, just last year. And a lot of these songs have been around longer than that of course, but they all sound like they have a new purpose with that context. It's also a good reason why something like True Love Waits would finally make it onto an album now, after all this time.

I have a feeling "Tinker Tailor Soldier Rich Man Poor Man Beggar Man Thief" is the James Bond track mentioned a while back.

No that track is Spectre and is rumored to be on the Burn The Witch 7" coming out next week to record stores.

This is pretty incredible so far. Listening to Decks Dark while I do the dishes is quite an experience.

Just listened to TKOL right before this, and it's a surreal shift. Like it mixes elements from there with a lot of Kid A/IR too.

All these times hearing True Love Waits teased at the beginning of Everything In Its Right Place over the years finally comes to fruition. Still going to take time to not hear the live, acoustic version.

    hmmm

I thought that, it's certainly a bit of a weird transition with those two songs at the start. Doesn't really make sense.

Listening now, but has anyone touched upon the artwork? What's it a picture of, is it actually somewhere on the moon?

    I think it's a Rorshach test.

Glass Eyes is one of the most beautiful songs they've ever composed - among Reckoner, Let Down, and How To Disappear Completely.

i'm writing a book, leave me alone.

Anyone read The Moon Pool? It's a 1953 novel and I wonder if there are any references here or if the title came about separately. I'll have to review the lyrics to know for sure. Also, LOST borrowed elements from The Moon Pool novel and this album has a song called "The Numbers" so I'm going to stretch and say there's some sort of connection. My favorite show and one of my favorite bands converging in some weird way? I'll believe it no matter what anyone says.

What do you mean? I see how it looks like a rorschach test, yeah? Do you mean something specific?
