When I met Julien Baker in October, I was wearing a Circa shirt, and the first thing she said when I walked up to her was, "I love your Circa Survive shirt!" Last night, I was wearing a Julien Baker shirt, and Anthony told me she is one of his favorites and he loved the shirt. I then told him about when I met Julien, and he said that made his day. It's cool as hell to see my two favorite artists openly supporting one another like that.

 

im late but i really liked both RSD songs from Circa

 

I'm not crazy but there's a another b-side either from VW or Descensus that we haven't been talking about. I think it was from the latter. Not Bad Heart or Battle My Love and not Awake In a Dream either. Anyone else know or remember? Ive only heard it once right when it first came out. It was pretty alt rock sounding.

 

Never Change or whatever? That's probably my least favorite circa song. Really lifeless if I remember correctly. Imaginary Enemy has good energy and cool grooves. I felt Free has a nice sunny feel and a fun bass line I guess. That song had nothing for me.

 

Awake in a Dream is amazing btw

That's like the most Yip song ever. I joke about hating BSN but if we're talking actually intensely disliking, it's that one.

 

Airplane Dance is the best b side tho I'm not sure why it's not an ag solo track

I'm still sad that Resentment wasn't a full fledged and released AG song. It was completely absolutely perfect on the rooftops on the BSN studio vids. The Circa demo of it... not a fan

 

Yeah, I think they probably freaked themselves out a little bit around 2009-2010 with the whole major label situation, a lot of strange decisions with what was given studio/album treatment and what wasn't.

 

Crap I forgot how amazing Airplane Dance is. I've played it like ten times in a row now

There are two versions (both demo) of Airplane Dance right?

All the "LP3 sequence videos" and the "creek house vids (or something like that)" leading up to them are worth (re)watching. I used to gorge myself on them in anticipation. So many amazing bits in there too that have not come to light.
