Finally got my switch. Got Mario vs Rabbids, Marios Odyssey and Zelda. Not sure which one to start first!

 

I'm definitely playing this in Japanese. I really like Nia's Welsh accent but other than that I can't stand the English VA.

Been playing Xenoblade a bit today. Just met Tora. Is there a point in the game where the cutscene's start thinning out a bit? Its getting to be a bit much.

 

I paid 60 bucks for a minigame.

I’m enjoying Tiger Tiger way more than I expected though.

 

Unfortunately no. It’s a very story-driven game. Maybe in the middle of the game, or when you’re out doing side quests.

I love them. But I get why anyone would want less of those.

 

Just spent a good 10 minutes reading old Bill Trinen tweets. How did I go this long not knowing that he was so awesome?

 

Xenoblade Chronicles 2

 

I had no issue with the Joy-Cons for Super Mario Odyssey, but they feel weird with Splatoon 2. Part of it is that I miss the use of the Gamepad screen, but maybe a Pro Controller will help with how small the buttons feel while playing it.

 

I have a feeling I will be sinking a ridiculous amount of time into Pinball when it drops

 

I just got Breath of the Wild last night and I like it a lot so far but I've died like 3 or 4 times trying to climb up the cliff to get to the Owa Daim Shrine lol.

 

Looks like what Mighty No.9 was trying to do.

Jump height, acceleration of gravity, run speed, model/pixel size, etc. are all so important to Mega Man games feeling so good. We'll see. It's why 7 and 8 are my least favorite of the main series. They feel off. 9 and 10 felt like such a return to form but I suppose there's only so much of that to milk.

I think I'm honestly more excited about the Legacy Collections. Beating 1-6 on NES was one of my proudest gaming achievements as a kid and I'm excited to try it again. I've only played the first couple of Mega Man X games and I'm looking forward to that too.

 

people always shit on it but honestly megaman 8 is one of my favorite games in the series, but i have weird taste when it comes to megaman i guess.

I actually like 8 okay. Although the "Jump! Jump! Slide! Jump! Slide! Slide!" part gives me nightmares.

 

So yeah I think these will be making it to Switch at some point?

 

Never played the Galaxy games. I’d buy full price for a collection.

 

I've played some XC2 now. There are definitely some very rough edges here graphically, which I think is pretty weird and something they should patch. I do however not see a real difference between handheld mode and docked mode, both have the same issues. I'm sure Digital Foundry proved there is a difference, but I don't see it. Maybe this changes in the open world.

Got home from vacation the other day with XC2 waiting for me. Only played a little so far, but I’m really loving it.

 

Bought Nine Parchments after playing the demo. It's the perfect hybrid console indie: Compact gameplay so you can get a lot out of it on the bus, but graphically stunning and made for big screen co-op.
