I'm going to say that if you watch a lot of video, the 8 plus is the one you want, first for the battery and secondly the form factor of the screen is better suited for video.

 

I’m going to say the X because the screen is way ahead of the 8 and the camera is really good for a phone in my opinion.

 

Spotify has been really ticking me off lately. How do those who went from Spotify to Apple Music like it? What are the main differences and advantages?

 

I just. I just accidentally knocked my iMac off a really small table in my living room I had it set up on for the morning to hang with my gf while I do some work. I'm sitting on my couch which has recliners and I turn around to open the window behind the couch and the recliner kicked out and knocked over the table the iMac was on and now my iMac is cracked to fuck in one corner and has one long thing crack across the middle



I...I want to die

 

Being able to add albums/songs that aren’t on streaming services to your library is a huge bonus for me. Much easier to manage adding/removing what has been downloaded to the device. Can edit metadata, artwork etc. Integration with the ecosystem if you have Apple TV, Mac’s and whatnot.

It also sounds better on Apple devices to me. Spotify always seems quieter at the same volume.

I do miss Spotify’s connect feature, playlists and discoverability - I think it tanks Apple in those areas.

Oh boy, this "disconnecting from wi-fi until tomorrow" notification is going to throw so many people for a loop.

 

Why is it popping up? Confused me.

 

It just pops the first time you use the button in ios 11.2 and then never again.

I was speaking more for my extended family. "I want this off, why won't they let me turn it off?"

 

I recently tried to switch to Apple Music, and after like a week I had to go back to Spotify. If you're like me and you basically discover all of your new music through Spotify's playlists and recommendations, you're going to find Apple Music lacking in that department.

 

Depending on what you wanna do you can definitely get $100 worth of use out of it. Heck, even a kindle is $80. I think sometimes people overestimate how much an improvement newer tech is for everyday usage. I had the mini 3 and i adored it. That said, you can probably find newer models for not much more.

 

I still love my Mini 4 so much. Might make the jump to an iPad Pro next year though

 

I upgraded to the 9.7 pro since i wanted more storage and better speakers but i still think for just about everything but drawing the minis are the perfect device. I love the pro too but its been 7 months of use and it still feels too big to hold comfortably without resting on something. I’m still bitter they effectively discontinued the minis haha

 

Hit this earlier and now my phone is refusing to reconnect to WiFi even though I entered the correct password multiple times. Only works if I restart the router, but then if it’s being slow and I switch to LTE real quick, it won’t connect again. Makes no sense hah.

 

When did that notification come up? I haven’t seen it yet, but what is the best route to go if we do see it?

Finally set up Apple Pay. So you can hold a balance/credit just like PayPal right? Also I guess in order to use Apple Pay, the only way to unlock your phone now is with the finger print scan?

 

Yeah it came up when I hit the WiFi button in control center. For whatever reason my phone reconnected after putting the password in like 5 times. It was weird since I copied it from 1Password so I know it was correct all of the other times, too.

 

I'm not really a fan of the new wifi/bluetooth system. Seems unnecessarily complicated. Not sure why it needs to be anything but a simple on/off button.
