Feel compelled to give a shout-out to bunny farming in Nier, shit is absolutely bananas. Jumped 20 levels in like 15 minutes. Time to go fuck up the Flooded City S-rank coliseum.

So I finished TWD season one. What a ride.

 

There’s a bunny statue near the entrance of the Amusement Park, just after you come out of the sewer, in that courtyard-esque area. If you wail on it long enough (took me around 3-4 minuets at lvl 60) it comes alive. Kill it and it pays out enormously. It’s especially easy to do if you just hack it as 9S.

Horizon gets so much right - the world is beautiful, characters are interesting and well acted, story is really interesting and engrossing, the interface is quick, and it's just cool to explore.

But my God, the combat is soooo bad. Like I can't stand range or melee combat at all. It's a slog every time....does it get better? Am I missing something?

 

no, that game remains terrible all the way through, and then becomes repetitive to boot.

 

It's kind of supposed to be a slog, so to speak. The way the combat works doesn't really allow for a guns-blazing, fast-paced hack-and-slash OHKO-fest; you have to be slightly "tactical" in your approach. Aim for machine components and exploit elemental weaknesses whenever possible (assuming you weren't already doing both of those).

It also depends a bit on how far along you are. Once your weapons and mods are sufficiently upgraded, you actually can OHKO some things, and 2/3HKO some others. But I will concede during the first half-ish a lot of enemies feel kind of damage-spongy even if you're fighting them "properly".

 

did 3 more quests today in skyrim and I nearly started the dlc before I decided to look it up and see it was dlc.

been starting to mess with conjuring and that’s been a big help..

 

I always tell myself I’ll play Skyrim using magic everytime I pick up that game but I still always revert back to bows. Tbh I always revert to bows on all games with bows.

 

I honestly love the combat in Horizon. Though as white said the enemies at first are very sponge-y, though at lv 51 having all the different abilities/elemental weapons it becomes much more tactical.

 

Exactly how I feel about it. At first I wasn't that big of a fan but as I progressed, having different techniques and tactics I fell in love with battling.

 

I have a chance to buy a practically new PS4 off a friend for $150(with Horizon). The gamer in my says do it since I want to try Horizon and some others down the road, but the current me says just hold off since I'm content with just my XB1X and I don't game near as much anymore.

Pretty sure I'm holding off.

 

Horizon probly has my favorite combat of the year

 

just go outside and throw sticks at a tree, it's practically The Same Thing.

 

I really hope rocksteadys new game is w Harry Potter universe rpg, or a matrix game.

 

at this point it's fairly certain it's Superman. :/
