This album is getting better with each listen. I love how huge it sounds. I wish Ryan had more guitar solos, but I say that about all of their albums.

Anybody else getting Anberlin vibes from the riffs on Miracle and Goodnight, My Love?

 

The fun/catcher songs on Black Swan are still a ton better though

I don't know, that post has me torn because BS is 1 but ITWOD is last....

Whoa, lets not say that. The majority of the like 5 people who post on this page, but I can't believe that overall people put this at the top.

Yeah, that is one of my negatives is that there's really no Ryan solos on it and they went with electronics instead for almost every song.

Yeah, Miracle sounds like The Feel Good Drag and Goodnight, My Love sounds just like Prey Tell.

I got introduced to them through SOTY actually. When they were touring their 2nd best album ITWOD, they had He is Legend, Anberlin and Funeral for a Friend opening and Anberlin made such a good impression live that I bought both their cds at the show, Blueprints and NTFP. I've been a huge fan ever since, what a great show that was.

 

They were good. I discovered them opening for Taking Back Sunday on the New Again tour. My one friend liked them so much she ditched out of MakeDamnsure in the TBS encore to buy their CD from their Merch table. I liked them but was not pleased she did that lol

I was familiar with Anberlin prior to Story of the Year. I saw Anberlin at a festival prior to the release of Blueprints and followed them ever since. Got introduced to SOTY my sophomore year of college soon after Page Avenue came out which was only a couple months after Blueprints came out!

I think Envy on the Coast was on that tour too

I remember that tour because I regret going since it was my last chance to see the New Again lineup Anberlin had just released New Surrender so their set probably still would have been a lot of Cities but with Disappear and Resistance. Now I'm bummed I missed it all over again lol.

SOTY introduced me to Anberlin as well. I always checked out SOTY’s opening bands and I’ve found a lot of favorites that way. Anberlin, He Is Legend, Monty Are I, Letter Kills, etc.

 

I remember seeing all of those live and loving them as well, esp Monty Are I. Greenly Estates is another opener I saw that I got into.

Ha! That’s funny. It was a good show, TBS busted out Brooklyn!
