INXS Guitarist Misses Days When People Knew Who The Fuck INXS Was

 

Hope a public statement is coming. But here's my issue, he cut ties within 24 hours of this post
Not within 24 hours of finding out because he's known for years. He's either complicit or complacent and it's really dissapointing.

 

This is usually my biggest internal issue with statements that come out after the accusation. I feel like so often people are just apologizing or cutting ties with people based on the situation being brought to public light, not because they genuinely feel bad about it.

 

This is my biggest problem as well. He knew. He told Hilary to "play nice." It's so frustrating.

 

This was definitely something that came up when I talked to him. His explanation, if you can assume complete honesty, made it more understandable. You shouldn't ever assume complete honesty in this kind of scenario, though, so yeah. He definitely fucked up and I'm still extremely disappointed

How anybody can see the current landscape in entertainment, and proceeds to think “this is something I can say without any backlash”, is....wow

 

This weird "email me and I'll say things I won't say publicly" thing is fucking stupid. He was your manager. People hinting at things he maybe said in emails or didn't say and whatever is dumb. Either he said something or didn't and it should be public or not. Take a stand or don't Evan.

Middle West’s website no longer lists who their agents are or which agents represent which band, and because of how their management emails work it’s impossible to tell if Evan actually fired Chase or is just saying that

 

Interesting, middle west was aware of allegations so it wouldn’t have been Evan it would have been him fired from the company. Could be that they’re remaneuvering bands and stuff now

 

Right, what I meant was thag it’s now impossible to see if Evan really did “cut all business ties with Chase within 24 hours” because Middle West no longer offers evidence of who their managers are

Considering literally every person that Evan plays music with that also has a FB page saw the post, it would be impressively shitty for him to force them to continue to be managed by Chase

IIOI isn't my all-time favorite band/artist like they once were, but goodness, this one hurts. I've seen two replies to tweets where he has asked people to e-mail him directly to discuss it, but he needs to make a public stand and apologize. If a 14 year old kid (Finn Wolfhard) can fire his agent immediately after accusations of sexual assault, Evan can do the same thing.

 

the way evan is essentially searching up his own name on twitter and telling everyone who is posting about this to email him in private is fucked. if whatever bullshit explanation he has for silencing others was in any way reasonable he wouldnt be trying to hide it behind closed doors.

 

Publicly and strongly.

 

IIOI and Pet Symmetry don't appear as artists on Middle West's website anymore. Even if he fired them, he should really still address this.
