That is so nice. Will be purchasing. Also, what's got you so pessimistic about next season?

Just how bad this year ended up going. We need to sign some more creative players, and to play some better football other than hoofing it down the field and letting Sears chase it. Might be top 10 again but for a team that's been in the Championship for 15 years we need to be making the play-offs regularly.

Lovely finish by Vardy. Loving the fan atmosphere right now.

Quite happy with the result in the Brighton match. No Dunk for the first leg, no Stephens for both games.

Think Wednesday have a chance of making the final. Then it depends on whether Hull or Derby turn up on the day.

Our 6 games vs our play off rivals this season have ended in 4 0-0 draws and 2 1-1 draws.

I haven't watched Everton in a few months. Forgot how woeful they've looked this season.

    This is pretty magical.

After my initial anger/shame wore off after the Spurs v. Chelsea game, I'm glad Leicester did what they did.

Damn sucks to lose the clean sheet after that last touch before the shot.

Preston finish the season with a 1-1 draw with Leeds and finish a respecatable 11th, with a goal difference of zero!

Solid season back in the championship, hoping for more next season though!

Just premiere league and World Cup. I'm a bad football fan just because I don't have a ton of time to follow along. I wanna get more into it though so I've been creeping the thread.

Also I don't know if you already figured out, but Villa fans scheduled a protest to the losing streak and relegation by having beach balls and balloons released in the 74th minute. I don't really have a ton of allegiances so I'm taking offers on which EPL team I should Stan for.

You should stan for Preston North End because they are the original invincibles and double winners.

Also you won't be a glory hunter when they win the premier league in 17/18.

What positions are you hoping to strengthen in/any specific players in mind?

Thinking you'll find someone willing to recoup the Stevie May money?

You are missing the point with your chart. I never said Bayern were not dominant in the Bundesliga in the 90s. I just said we weren't as dominant as today. You obviously haven't followed the Bundesliga in the 90s or you would know better.
I think we all can agree that Bayern is now for 4-5 years one of the Top3 teams in Europe. That was never the case in the 90s, not even close. Look at how Bayern performed in Europe in the 90s and compare that with the last few years. You will see a big difference. And if you would have followed Bayern back then you would know. And that also showed in the Bundesliga to an extend: Bayern were Champions 4 times in the 90s, but only once they achieved that with a comfortable lead, most of the times it was a close race with the runner-up. Contrary to the last 4 years.

Bayern was always the dominant force in Germany since the mid 60s more or less, there's no doubt about it. But they were never as dominant as today. The fact that we just reached the 4th Championship in a row for the first time ever shows that the team right now is outstanding even for Bayern standards. In the 90s, Bayern wasn't even able to defend the title once. And Bayern never won the Champions League in the 90s, Dortmund did.

We struggled for goals this season, especially initially, I'd like to see some new attacking players, as we've been fairly formulaic going forward. I'd like to seem some flair and unpredictability moving forward. Hopefully finish next season with a positive goal difference!

We also need to resolve the goalkeeper situation. We had United's Sam Johnstone last season and he was wonderful, and this season we had (ex) United Lindegaard, who has also been brilliant. In between those two we had Sunderland's Jordan Pickford, who was top notch. I'd like any of them.

At this level though, anybody is replaceable and upgradable, so I'm optimistic about the summer. I feign optimism at times, but we've been out of the top flight for over 50 years and it's a bit of a joke really, considering our history and how close we've been in the past.

    Stevie May, christ alive...

Oh and about Bayern, PSG's tyranny over French football is much scarier than Bayern's over the Bundesliga. This Bayern team happens to be just so good at just the right time to have such a large exposure and bring in so many critics. A similar thing happened in the 90s with Man Utd, the big TV money that is the Premier League was the ultimate confluence for the establishment for Ferguson's United to create huge new fanbase in a new generation.
Some version of this happens all of the time in sports.

My bet, by the end of the season, Juan Martinez (burrito) will be the most fouled player in the MLS.
