Seems like the perfect RAW after WM move, Cesaro-style return from injury.

 

Bautista’s last return might have been the worst return in WWE history.

 

the moment/rumble or what? because he had some great matches during that run and exclusively put guys over

 

I just remember it goin over horribly. He was booked to be face upon return and the backlash was severe. Who did he put over?

 

Batista shines as a heel, and with how lacking the main event scene is for heels, Batista would be perfect coming back to fill that role

 

the booking of the initial part was def bad.

he put over Bryan (tapped to him in the Mania main event that he was originally promised a victory in, no less)
he ate the pin against Shield the next month at Extreme Rules
he was the first eliminated in the 6 man elimination match against Shield at Payback

he also worked a full schedule including house shows, which resulted in great little matches like this on tv that made midcard guys look great

he was a true blue(pun ferociously intended) professional.

 

I agree, but I feel like they won’t do it right.

 

....he was in the main event at mania where Daniel Bryan went over and won both titles ending a massive d-bry push at the biggest PPV of the year

 

I have a feeling it will be different this time if he comes back. Like when Rock came back a few years ago and won everything

 

i don't think Batista has any interest in that kind of run. i recall him saying that when he initially discussed returning for WMXXX, he wanted to do a house show only run a la Jericho at the time. all of the press i've seen him do for Guardians, AMAs, etc has made him seem like a really humble introvert that happens to be a pro wrestling movie star lol

 

In hindsight, batistas last run was great. At the time it seemed like a nightmare, but the guy was a great foil for Bryan and the Shield and had solid matches. If he returns I doubt he’ll be thrown into the main event like he was last time. Would actually love to see him and Braun

 

I can't remember for what exactly, but wasn't he complaining about something after his run finished up? Just remembering it putting a bad taste in my mouth

 

he was really pissed that they booked him as a face for the first two months, but i don't remember anything else

doesn't mean it didn't happen, forgetting stuff is my gimmick
