willow album is pretty cool, her voice is phenomenal imo

any1 listen to the new sppooky black / corbin its my favorte thing released this year

Holy hell this Ruby Ibarra album is not only great it’s FULL of nor cal references.

I got so giddy hearing her name drop Hayward. Haha

 

I would guess Chorus is now officially the music website with the most mentions of Ruby Ibarra, which is wild and awesome haha

 

Yeah probably. I googled her before and almost nothing came up.

 

Yeah. There are like some older "freestyle" videos of her on TeamBackpack (which is a dumb place but I follow them on Facebook because they can be a decent source for new underground rap), which is where I know her from. Most articles about her album/music seem to be from Bay Area publications though.

On one hand I'm like come on man I love Cam'ron but on the other hand I'm like I'll take anything Reverend Mase decides to bless us with, especially on that beat

 

I still can't believe how whack the Camron tape is. The beats are so fucking thin and lifeless, it's 2017 kids in their bedrooms are making better sounding beats on phones

About half or more of the beats are pretty bad I agree but they're bad in that early to mid 00s mixtape way that I have nostalgia for.

It's like a cheap knock off of that sound to me. An imitation of the real thing. I also think his rapping is mad weak

Idkkkk the first few tracks especially he kind of stumbles around the beat he's not exactly off time but he doesn't find the groove at parts and just sounds like he's trying to find the beat in the middle of rapping. My first listen I was really taken back by how off it sounded at first
