Yeah I don't understand why they never released that show if it was professionally record. Did the band ever comment on it officially?

Tom didn't officially leave/quit until the end of December 2014. You would think if they wanted to release it it would have been done sometime in 2014. I wonder if it had something to do with them not wanting to spend their own money to release it and instead were waiting to sign with the new label and have them do it.

Either way I really hope that live show gets released in the future.

 

the videos i've seen from those anniversary shows were kind of bad... hearing Tom's studio vocal track playing underneath his live singing was pretty cringy, from what I remember, haha. But still, I'd love to see pro shot videos from it.

 

Oh god he made an official video for that trash lol

 

They would have cleaned up his performance in the studio like they did with MT&TS, but even if he was still bad I would like to have another official live album.

 

Yeah I really wish they put out another live album/dvd. I really liked some of their new live arrangements post reunion (I Miss You and Violence especially).

 

I'd love for them to record a live show with songs that weren't on MT&TS album, so no What's My Age Again?, Dammit, ATST, Dumpweed etc. I know it would never happen but I'd just like to get professional recordings of as many live blink songs as possible. That would actually be a fun game, to make a blink live album of 20 songs that weren't on MT&TS.

 

In sticking with my above post about blink making a new live album with songs that weren't on MT&TS here's the list of my 20 songs in no real order. I decided to just focus on songs before the 1st break up and also including the singles to make it a somewhat realistic album.

Mark commented on it during an AMA and said they just didn't spend time on it and tgen eventually Tom left so they just didn't want to do anything with it.

Still wanting to know what things we'd have to do to see footage of it. Wondering if it's those same blinkumentary dudes.

 

Raise your hand if you'd go see a Dude Ranch 20th anniversary tour with Scott and Tom.

Honestly, I would, even though I know it'd mostly suck.

 

I honestly wouldn't. I need an Enema anniversary show, though.

Just add Pathetic, Apple Shampoo and Josie as a tribute although they're already going to be past the 20 years by the time they next play shows

I can see Tom rejoining blink for a one-night 15 Anniversary show for Untitled next year.

Then when the band hits 35 they'll do a Greatest Hits tour and I could see him joining for the last couple CA shows they'd inevitably have.

 

I'll go only if Tom wears his Love beanie, shirt and plasters his guitar with To The Stars stickers

 

I’d absolutely go hear blink-182 play Dude Ranch front to back. Especially if it was Tom and Travis, though I’d dig it with Matt too. Scott is less appealing than Travis but I’d be down for the weirdness of it. Hearing “Untitled”, “Emo”, “Dick Lips”, “I’m Sorry”, and all those bangers live? Hell yeah. Classic record.

The one thing I miss from Tom live are the chorus-y, reverb-y bridges they’d do when they had clean bridges like in Rock Show or WMAA. I watched some of that pro shot show from 04 or whatever and it surprised me how precise his guitar playing was (relative to him). His voice is just atrocious though. I could buy into it because it was distinct and had character, if you want to be generous, but post-reunion it was grating warbling and his guitar playing was horrible and I found his jokes less funny, so it’s just those clean bridges overdone with all those effects that I’m into from him live with blink.

 

Here's another scenario:

Would you rather see Mark, Scott, and Tom play Dude Ranch front to back exactly like it's recorded?
or
Would you rather see Mark, Travis, and Matt play Dude Ranch front to back, but re-worked and "spiced up" like how they do some of their older songs live, like The Rock Show, I Miss You, etc.

 

I wanna see Tom play Dude Ranch front to back solo on an acoustic bass

 

I don't want Tom anywhere near this band.
