Their characters aren’t similar at all

 

They’re both boring that’s enough for me

I’m not the biggest McIntyre fan either - the men’s title fight was just a huge fart for me

Cien in-ring charisma is incredible, I’m surprised that he’s boring to you. His character has improved ten fold since they finally let him be the natural heel that he is.

Drew is fine, good in ring, but still not great when it comes to promos.

I’m definitely surprised they had him drop the title already but I’m happy Cien is champion. Roode has been the weakest NXT champion by far, and that’s coming from someone that likes him.

 

It’s probably good that Drew dropped it since he tore his bicep tonight

I’ll rewatch the match again tomorrow without bias and see if that changes my mind

 

Fairly certain he tore his bicep on the finish, so one could argue that he would be perfectly fine right now if they booked him to go over.

In all seriousness, though, you could tell something happened right at the finish. Immediately after the three count, you could see Drew holding his arm, and then the ref fiddling with his microphone pack or whatever it is on the back of his pants, clearly talking to someone in the back. And then a ring doctor was in the ring at one point too during Almas's celebration.

 

Yeah I def remember wondering if Drew hurt himself at the end of his match

 

Dream/Black match was outstanding, Wargames was a spot-fest that was just great to watch. Found the finish of the women's title match to be kinda blah -- not because Ember won, but it just felt like a quick match to me; could've used another 4-5 mins I think -- and the Drew/Cien match was solid, for sure. Really good takeover.

 

This year's Survivor Series will be the 15th anniversary of GIMME A FUCKIN MIC. Everyone shed a tear.

Friendly Reminder: I don't count the Sole Survivor like they do in kayfabe. If 2 people from Team Raw win it, and you pick either of them, you get the point. Conversely, I also count the last eliminated person from the losing team (technically the sole survivor of the losing team).

You can make your last eliminated and sole survivor the same person to try and double dip (though I wouldn't recommend it) or somebody else entirely for a better overall chance of getting points.

 

I still can’t get over the execution of the Dream/Black feud. Perfect story from conception to finish. Totally ready for Dream to get that belt next year

 

Just watched Takeover, here's the abridged version of my live reactions:

- I like how Lars doesn’t have any special ring gear for Takeover. He’s just here to fuck shit up.

- Fine opener. Lars is green, but this was a good showing for him. Lots of good story telling throughout the match.

- Because of the beard, Tyler Bate looks a lot like a small Conor McGregor.

- Holy shit Dreams pants

- Awesome match. Tremendous performance from Dream. SAY HIS NAME, ALEISTER

- YESSSSSSSS

- Sanity is the weirdest group of people on the planet. Nikki Cross running out of the room because her match is next is hilarious.

- Team Peyton for this, but would also love to see Nikki Cross get the title also.

- Another good match, but man I can’t agree with Ember getting the title here at all.

- This is so good. So happy that Almas is performing on this level.

- HOLY SHIT. I’ll take things I didn’t expect for 500, Alex. Stoked for Almas. Great match. What a year and a half this dude has had. Going from the ultimate good guy babyface that had a lot of trouble to one of the best heel characters on TV. Also mega credit to Zelina Vega. What she did for his act has been nothing short of fantastic. She brings out the absolute best in him.

- Wouldn’t it be hilarious if Roddy was wearing AOP gear?

- LOL

- Phenomenal main event. Absolutely loved it. Everyone killed it in this. Hell of a way to do War Games. Great show, NXT does it again.
