There's very little on here in the vein of Coloring Book. Some will be disappointed in that, but while I loved CB as an experimental side thing, I'm personally happy they mostly stuck to their core strengths and continued along the W&T trajectory.

 

if you really like songs like Stuck Pig and Pink Roses then I think you'll find a lot to love here. I only heard one mellow song. I'd imagine there's at least one more tho

 

Stuck Pig is one of my favorites, so that's good news to me.

 

Thats kind of a bummer for me. Ive only been listening to this band for like 3 days, but the mellow songs are all my favs so far.

 

I'm pumped for a heavy record.

I'm going to slowly descend into madness over the next 2 weeks if I keep reading about how great this album is without hearing it. I must stop myself

 

I could not recommend avoiding this "leak" more. I really think it's an awful way to hear the album. (Also, pretty dick move of WashedUpEmo to leak it this way.)

My thoughts exactly. Those, Natural Born Farmer, and NWE pretty much convey the sound they fully flesh out throughout the record. There's a softer song that could be considered kinda CB-esque but still more dissonant and strange melodically.
