Whether or not to buy Battlefront II now for 60, or get 3 back catalog games next Friday for the same price. Help.

I will wait for a few patches to drop. It’s a dice game at launch. Jumping in day 1 is not prudent haha

 

There is a lot to unpack here, including stuff we talked about over the last few days with rehards to microtransactions and the kind of games people buy.

It makes me sad that Wolfenstein sold so low, that game is a top five game for the year.

Sucks to see that it's been struggerling. I do plan on picking up Wolfeinstein at some point, most likely when it gets it's switch release.

I’m picking up Wolfenstein 2 next week. I’m on the final mission of The New Order and I’m going to finish it up tonight. Game is fantastic.

 

Bethesda didn't have a game that sold well since Fallout 4, and it's starting to look like they won't until the next Elder Scrolls comes out. I wonder what happens now. Will they close studios? Sell them? Hame them work on games as a service or Fallout/ES spinoffs?

 

Bought Rise Of The Tomb Raider on Xbox Live. Can't wait to play it on One X.

also, little sad, asked my 15 Yo cousin why he's not into Horizon and he told me he "didn't want to play as a girl", now on the one hand, Horizon is an overrated piece of shit, but still disappointing that that's what would put him off. I really enjoyed Ashley's performance of Aloy and I thought that female characters turning off men was a myth. Oh well!

well honestly I don't think I'm eloquent enough to explain to him why it shouldn't put him off, especially seeing how as cousins we are not especially close, he's half my age and lives an entirely different life than I did.

but yeah he's totally getting Rise of the Tomb Raider for Christmas because, unlike Horizon, that's a hill I'm actually willing to die on.

 

My nephew used to say stuff like that around the same age and now he's 19 and completely different, he wouldn't have objections like that anymore. Not sure what my point is lmao. I guess it's that there is still hope haha

I'm sure I'll love it, I really liked the "first one" too. I only skipped this one because of Fallout 4, which was a bad move in hindsight.

 

Square Enix: We are the worst at picking release dates.
EA: *looks at Titanfall 2* hold my Battlefield.

 

Doom didn’t sell well??

 

I am very cautious about that game because while it looks impressive, I have never played a Ninja Theory game that I liked. Always such sloppy mechanics and tryhard writing.
