I played In Rainbows twice yesterday back to back, it's an incredible album.

I can't imagine listening to a band's entire discography for the first time in one night, let alone Radiohead's. Their albums really benefit from repeat listens, and might take some time to grow on you. But I guess that might just be my preference.

I went to bed last night listening to The King of Limbs. "Lotus Flower" is sooooo good.

I think going through all of them would be very cool though and then you could pick one that stood out to you to spend more time with.

I don't even know what White Lung is. I'd be interested in hearing what you think about the Radiohead albums though if you get around to it, ha.

there is a shitload of music coming out right now (as in may 6) that everyone should check out if this band doesnt end up releasing an album:

ANOHNI - HOPELESSNESS (electronic political protest record - i.e. if you like that aspect of radiohead, you might like this)
Julianna Barwick - Will (ambient pop)
James Blake - The Colour In Everything
    White Lung - Paradise (punk)
    Kaytranada - 99.9% (electronic/r&b)
LUH. - Spiritual Songs for Lovers to Sing (experimental rock, i guess)

Oh shit I didn't realize James Blake had a new album coming. All those others sound like stuff I would like so I'll check them out.

I will say that it's strange they didn't retweet or post anything about how they're headlining the ACL Festival. Radio silence.

I'm going to allow myself to believe something's coming tomorrow.

I almost got a ticket for ACL but I'm hoping they play Dallas in between weekends. With my luck they'll probably go to Mexico.

In Rainbows is quite the jam so far. Only at Jigsaw so far, but this is much different than anything I regularly spin.

They're playing Mexico City a few days before ACL, but they've said that they're done announcing headlining shows for the year. So ACL might be your only chance.

Don't really get all of the In Rainbows admiration either. It's a solid record but if I were to recommend a radiohead album for a first time listener it'd be Ok Computer or Kid A both of which are bonafide classics.

IR is sick - really focused songwriting, glorious arrangements and amazing production

it's a very obvious and effective starting point

Any good ways to pick this up on 180g vinyl? I'm in the U.S. so I don't quite trust shipping from overseas.

    (In Rainbows)

Didn't really want my first listen to be YouTube, but that's what I had to do.

I feel like listening to In Rainbows just cheapens the experience of listening to OKC and Kid A for the first time, experincing the progression from album to album is such a critical part of listening to Radiohead imo.

Was a bit late to the game, but definitely thankful I listened to the discography sequentially.
