New song takes me back to the AMAMABAS and Dusk and Summer days and I LOVE it. That classic Dashboard passion is there. I am so pre-ordering the biggest bundle when this thing gets announced haha.

Do we have any idea why DC albums haven't been repressed on vinyl? I only have Alter The Ending and Crooked Shadows, but dang do I need AMAMABAS, D&S, and TSOPT.

 

Yeah, need A Mark, A Mission and Dusk on vinyl.

 

Whaaaa just saw where they removed The Shade of Poison Trees from Spotify

 

Swiss Army, So Impossible, and MTV Unplugged were also taken down.

That said, there’s a cut and dry answer here. I reached out to Hard 8 Management, which manages Dashboard Confessional, to inquire about the missing album. A representative for Carrabba’s manager, Rich Egan, told me that they are working on “relaunching the catalogue,” and that all albums will be available online “in about a week or two.” When I asked if this was a rights issue, they quickly said “Nope. No, not at all. We’re just doing some repackaging, that’s all. It’ll be up there soon.” That the debut album of a relatively beloved man could remain absent for such a long time is curious, but if they’re serious, it should be available in a short time, allowing fans new and old to cry once more.

Kinda odd to me that they'd let all these old albums go missing for so long given they just put out a new record/have an opportunity to introduce new fans (and old fans who haven't listened in a while) to their back catalog.

 

vinyl re-releases maybe?!
