Re: whiskey

Knobs creek, woodford reserve and buffalo trace are favorites at that price point.

Also urge anybody who hasn’t tried it to give Texas Whiskey (the one with the big TX on the bottle) a shot, one of my all time favorites.

Garrison brothers whiskey is also good but pretty pricey.

 

Every year I enter into a raffle at my liquor store to be able to buy a bottle of Pappy

every year I don't win

Speaking of good "meeting a band" experiences, probably one of the longest and most enjoyable conversations I ever had with a band was with some of the guys from Sainthood Reps. Again, as others have clarified, this isn't my way of suggesting that's representative of their behaviour or to prove they aren't capable of reprehensible stuff too, just to say that it's topical and I appreciate them posting a really straight forward response.

I have a bottle of TD and Jameson but I much prefer Jameson, just was more readily available growing up haha

Bulleit is SO good for the price. Knob Creek is also a great choice but I'm a big fan of Basil Hayden if I wanna spend a little more than $30-35

Don't know if you guys get it your side of the Atlantic but Bannantines is good too. Not got quite as nice a flavour as Bulleit but it's really, really smooth.

Slight tangent, but after hearing about Lil Peep’s death and checking out his music, is it just me or does ‘The Brightside’ sound like ‘Tommy Gun’ a lot. I’m pretty sure it starts with the same chord for one thing.
It gives me an awkward feeling listening.

Just out of curiosity, the others that are going to come out...are they coming out via a New York Times article, or something big like that? I do recall that Nicole said she was contacted by The New York Times on Brian Diaz' post. Not that it matters, but just wondering as to what medium they'd be coming out if you knew.

What was the general consensus on Dustin Kensrue's solo record Carry the Fire? I got a cheap copy of it yesterday having totally forgotten about it haha. I dig it
