So I went and saw Casablanca at the movie theater last night. Its one of my favorite old movies. The theater had these sick reclining seats, but this middle aged couple next to me would not stop eating the whole movie. Like they were loud chewing everything, slurping their drinks, coughing these really gross sounding coughs. Then at one point this lady pulls out a bag of M&M's she snuck in... and she starts just crackling the stupid bag. Like she wasn't even reaching into it, she was just crackling it. It took all I could do not to grab the bag and throw it.

 

Just reading this makes me cringe. Probably why I don't go to the movies very often anymore. I can't stand being around annoying and loud people like that. I'm an old and crusty fuck already.

Last night I saw Fall Out Boy and the girl seated behind me clapped through every fucking song but it was off time and she clapped through parts that didn't even have percussion. It was loud too because it was next to my ear :(

Yeah I'm the same way. I just love the smell of theater popcorn and the experience of the theater... I just hate inconsiderate people. Also they felt the need to laugh at every iconic line.... like every time Humphrey Bogart said, "Heres looking at you kid" They would start laughing.

Theaters out here always show different classic movies every Sunday and Wednesday in some partnership with TCM. But damn they really bring a weird crowd with them.
