Nioh is so good. Need to dl the dlc

 

It's very hard but I think I'm actually finding this harder than Dark Souls. Somehow.

 

Oh yeah. I died way more in Nioh than DS3 or Bloodborne

 

Nioh and the current-gen port of Dragon's Dogma are both high up on my list

 

Playing Nioh reminds of when naive 13 year old me attempted to play a Ninja Gaiden game

The wants of people religiously buying Nintendo games are different from the average gamer. As are the needs of their casual costumers (those that bought Wiis and are now, to some extent, buting Switches). If you look at games that sell and games that don't sell, Nintendo platforms are completely different from Xbox/PC/PS. Also their IPs are so ridiculously strong in a mainstream sense.

 

I don’t disagree with microtransactions for cosmetic/non-gameplay-affecting items. My issue is the gambling. I fully support, for example, League of Legends micros because, guess what, you can buy literally everything directly for a set price that doesn’t try to milk “whales” for everything they’ve got. Also the game is free, so there’s that element too but that’s beside the point.

It all just comes down to a simple reality: all real-money loot boxes are predatory, cosmetic or otherwise. Some are just worse than others when they affect gameplay. Going into a storefront and buying exactly what you want for a set price is fair. Pretty simple distinction to make.

smite has actually introduced something that is real cool for their “chests.”

Basically you do a roll and three items pop up and you choose the one you want out of the three.

It’s actually had a lot of positive feedback in the smite community.

 

Also, I’ll point out that League makes money hand over fist and is beloved in the general gaming community so it’s not like that model isn’t both a cash-cow AND PR-friendly. To be clear, what companies like EA, Activision, and WB are doing isn’t necessary, at all, to make the kind of money they claim they need for their games to be successful. There’s a good way to continually monetize a game and a bad way. That they all choose the bad way every time is why they get criticized so harshly and a company like Riot does not.

 

Gears 4 will be in it next month as well. This is a really sweet deal.

You will notice pretty quickly how fast games load and run. Downloading games with the enhanced pactch on the other hand...
...well thats why you have a PS4 and Switch!

 

I downloaded a lot of patches to my external so at least there's that haha

 

Genuine question but how on earth do you guys juggle 3 consoles? I only have 1 and it’s already taking up so much of my time.

I'm a hardcore gamer.

 

The Xbox is my primary console while I will play the PS4 for exclusives. I don’t own a Switch currently but maybe someday.

 

I juggle them very poorly. One is more or less a huge paperweight and then mostly jump between the Switch and PS4 depending on my gaming mood. PS4 still gets the most attention.

 

Xbox is primary for everything.

PS4 would most likely be exclusives.

Switch I take everywhere and play when I am bored watching sports.
