Yeah labels just like having deluxe editions.

 

I already the miss the days where deluxe versions of a cd included bonus songs, acoustic versions, and the 30 minute "making of" DVDs

 

Yeah. Now deluxe albums are just...kinda....albums.

 

I hate having to try and guess which is the intended version. Sometimes it's easy because the closer is clearly the closer.

 

That's why I like when the bonus songs are placed in the tracklist to create the "deluxe" version, then I just listen to that as the proper album.

 

Prawns kingfisher is a good example of this

 

Off the top of my head, the only one I can think of is Blink 182's Neighborhoods. I'm sure I've heard others though.

 

Really excited for 13 new tracks though. I can't believe we are getting 13 all new saosin songs with AG in 2016. Now if I can get them on a Deftones or Thrice tour I will ascend into the clouds gently crying.

 

It's such a special time to be a fan!! So far these songs are exactly what I wanted

 

The deluxe is the version the band intended, they had to cut those two songs because it wouldn't fit on a single LP

 

Could you guys explain that to me anyhow in simple language? :) does it work like that if you fit too much content on a vinyl piece the quality can't be that good? Is it not like that a record might content a given amount of minutes and that's it, or are there other aspects?


Also, I'd say that this move is more likely a marketing thing. Maybe they want some fans to buy it twice - once to have a physical copy, and then just for the bonus tracks.

I think Epitaph did the same thing with Parkway Drive's Atlas a few years ago too.

 

Been listening to the new singles recently and I love them, always liked Circa but some songs have felt a bit too...I don't really know the word, weird? Lacking a punch? This seems perfect though, reminds me of Act Appalled with more of an edge which is fantastic imo

 

2 more weeks. Hopefully the vinyl preorders ship next week some time.

 

Vinyl comes out on June 17th, so you have another month actually.

 

Oh yeah? It's so hard to keep up with preorders ha.

 

Yeah. At least it's not as much a delay as the Juturna vinyl. Haha

I'm so ready! I might be dating myself but Saosin is actually what made me realize I love music. I grew up without Internet so when I saw the video for Bury your head in middle school it was like nothing I had ever heard before. Over a decade later and while my music tastes have changed I couldn't be more excited.

 

Very excited for this. The singles have been great.
