A1 and BBQ sauce have ran over on my plate onto mac and cheese. It's not bad.

 

That sounds like a good combination, actually.

 

Never acquired the taste for A1. I could drink Heinz 57 though.

 

I like Heinz 57 every once in a while.

 

If anything, onions and that's it.

 

Beans running into mac and cheese = okay
bbq sauce running into mac and cheese = okay
bbq meat on a layer of mac and cheese = amazing

I need ketchup for those tenders though...

 

pulled pork and jalapenos. game changer.

 

I have had this multiple times and it has never let me down. Delicious.

 

Also bacon. Lots and lots of bacon.

 

If anyone has been to Bear's BBQ in CT (amazing), they have "the Mac Attack" where you pick any meat and sauce and they cover your mac and cheese with it. Burnt ends over mac and cheese is heaven

Now that we're thoroughly off-topic, I'm going to keep talking about mac'n'cheese.

We had a catered function for work last December and part of the catering was a mac'n'cheese bar with 3 types of mac/cheese combos (shells & gouda, elbows & parm/white cheddar, rotini & cheddar) plus a ton of toppings (bacon, sausage, shrimp, mushrooms, peas, peppers, broccoli, etc) you could add yourself. Served in martini glasses.

Last time I was in St. Louis my friend took me to a restaurant and everything on the menu was Mac and cheese with stuff mixed in.

 

Sounds like a place I'd enjoy.

What is on that?

 

"bacon, tomatoes, mayonnaise, beans, mustard, grilled onions and jalapeño sauce"
Sonoran dog. I talk about them too much here.

 

Take off the mayo and that sounds delicious

 

It all blends really well together. The mustard is probably the most prominent flavor on it.

 

Onion and spicy mustard is preferred. Sriracha and ketchup is passable.

 

chili+cheese+onions and/or mustard+ketchup+relish+peppers

 

what do y'all do when you order a hotdog and then get to the condiments station and all that's there is ketchup? just go dry?
