I couldn't do just one, but I could do my favorite from each album!

    IC – T&C
TIOS – To Awake and Avenge the Dead
TAITA – The Artist In the Ambulance
Vheissu – The Earth Will Shake
TAI – The Arsonist; The Whaler; A Song For Milly Michaelson; The Earth Isn't Humming
    Beggars – The Weight
    M/m – Yellow Belly
    TBEITBN – The Window

That's why I said go with the live album! 24 songs and it will tell you whether you like them enough to dive deeper.

I might do this. you guys know I don't listen to new stuff very often so this many albums/songs are overwhelming.

    The Weight

I hit a rough patch in my marriage around the 5 year mark. That song gave me encouragement to stick with the counseling and rebuild our relationship. Been married over 12 years now, and that song played a big part.

I say do it but go for this release instead. Some of these are even better versions than the album versions. Great set and personally I enjoy it more than Anthology but that one is good too.

I think this one is too heavy on TAI for someone just looking to get into the band and also doesn't have any M/m or IC tracks and only one TIOS track.

My method is simple. Don’t listen to all this drivel. Just work your way forward from Artist. Easy. Don’t worry about Dustin’s solo stuff imo. Just think of it as an afterthought

    HOT TAKE ALERT!!!!

I think I’d take Carry The Fire over most Thrice releases

And I love Thrice... like top 3 band for me, honestly top 2 in light of recent events.

that's why I'm asking. I'm pretty sure @KidLightning likes them I know he likes the money pit which is (almost) like gatsby's 2.0. but they are in my top 5-10 bands probably .

also your little title or whatever it's called under your avatar is fight of your demons related, not sure if you wanted to change that or not.

I don't know if I like them as much as you, but I do like them! I actually just listened to The Money Pit earlier, but it took me a while to get into GAD. I really disliked Ribbons & Sugar the first few times I heard it but I loved In the Land of Lost Monsters so I went back to R&S and it finally clicked with me. Volcano is my favorite though and the self-titled has some great songs. I almost never go back to Why We Fight.

Speaking of them, do you happen to have high quality versions of "Modern Man" and/or "Born Dead/Untitled"?

yeah I don't really listen to why we fight. I might revisit it but I remember it being more punk than ribbons & sugar on.

I love R&S volcano and self titled.

heard Volcano first then went back to R&S and I think that's my favorite one now.

I stopped seeking out/listening to new bands around 2008/9 so they've always been a favorite.

I'll check my files when i get home to see if I have those songs.
