I follow so many vinyl accounts so I was curious if I already followed yours haha. I wasn’t, but I am now :)

He's legit the main person behind Wolfmother. Thats such a scummy thing to do to your fans. Its one thing to auction them off, but hes blatantly selling them for MORE than what ebay flippers were asking....

 

8th grade me loved Wolfmother but would never in a million years pay that much for a record. I don't care how limited it is.

 

I got my standard Science Fiction LP in the mail today. Came with a full-sized double-sided poster too.

Considering the Brand New album thread is non-stop I'd figure I'd ask here, but do we know what the difference is yet between the limited edition that were available for only about an hour or two, and the standard one?

 

No clue. It hasn't been publicized.

The only difference for sure is the people who paid $51 (myself included) are going to be the last to get them.

 

Even though I wasn't able to get the limited one, and even though you all have to wait longer which sucks - I'm super stoked to see what the limited edition has. This standard alone is great quality and love the added poster. The only thing it's lacking is a lyric sheet of some sort so I'm wondering (and hoping) yours comes with that.

 

So, I finally received my U-Turn Orbit Plus in the mail this week along with the Audioengine A2+ speakers. I am overall very pleased with how easy the assembly was and how great it sounds. If I am picking nits though: 1) my dust cover came with a scratch on it 2) my Ortofon OM 5E did not come with a stylus cover but all appears to be okay.

Tell U-Turn about the scratch. They should have caught that. My dust cover from them warped after a month or so and they replaced it quickly. Hit them up, they're great.

 

Finally got my Portrayal of Guilt 7" in the mail. But I ordered so long ago that it was sent to the old place I was staying at lol.

 

I also think no one saw the instragram account I linked. I suck at attaching pictures on here.

 

I really wanna upgrade to a U-Turn or Pro-Ject, but I feel like I don't spin my records often enough for it to be worth it. I still buy records like crazy, but I never have a chance to spin them. Really bums me out :/ haha

 

Love my Pro-Ject. Got it for Xmas last year and it’s the best.

Has anyone cancelled their limited Science Fiction vinyl in the wake of the Jesse Lacey news? I'm personally on the fence.

 

I haven't, but I've seen it mentioned the the Brand New thread that people have, and procrastinate has been good about handling it

I would, but mine just shipped.

 

I canceled my preorder for the white Australian Exclusive, returned the clear Urban Outfitters Exclusive, and also returned the standard vinyl release. More than likely going to leave my existing preorder for the limited open.

 

Wait didn’t they send out an update saying they aren’t expecting to get them until Thanksgiving?

Recently moved back to London and found a great record store that only sells music up to the late-70s. It's such a treasure. Picked myself up an old rock'n'roll compilation with The Shangri-Las, Del Shannon, Bobby Vee etc. on it.
