I think I'm losing a friend I care about dearly. It's a pretty big disagreement neither of us will see eye to eye on but I'm still bummed

 

Sorry to hear this. Dealing with losing friends is one of the shittiest parts of growing up. Can I ask what the disagreement is about?

Earlier today, she posted the disgusting screen shots that the first victim's "friends" put on Facebook. She claimed that it was a "very complex issue". I simply replied "let's not victim blame please" to her tweet, she messaged me and said she sees all sides and to unfollow her if I didn't like it. She then quoted my tweet and made our disagreement public and it just screamed victim blaming and discrediting the victim to me. Then she brought up Isaac Brock and Conor Oberst's situations, ugh... And it's just been a mess. She'll block me soon I'm sure

That's so fucking stupid when A) Conor Oberst said not to use his situation as an example B) Jesse already fucking admitted to it

I'm sorry you have to deal with that. I know cutting off friends is hard but sometimes it's for the best.

 

Also, she was always very vocal about any other band who did creepy shit. She was vocal when she first heard the allegations. Now it's suddenly the opposite of everything she believes in?
