Nothing I remember off the top of my head. My memory is not what it once was.

 

He's always given off asshole vibes, at least up until the past couple of years. But you can try to be a good person now all you want, it doesn't change how shitty you've been in the past or how you've ruined people's lives. Damn. This is absolutely horrifying.

 

Me too. I was dead set on getting, "When I Grow Up I Wanna Be A Heretic" and the faces from TDAG artwork. Yeesh.

 

It's so hard for me to weigh in on the tattoo predicament since I never went through with getting mine. I'd like to stay positive and say the meaning of the tat would transcend the person who inspired it. Like the lyric/album image is a representation of an important time in my life, or helped me overcome a struggle, or inspired me to be a better version of myself. I'd like to think I could separate the affect the art had on me with the person who created the art, or even see it as a reminder that we are bigger/better than our "idols."

This is all silly for me to say though since I don't have a Brand New tattoo. I'm sure I'd feel much differently.

 

My girlfriend got the faces like 2 months ago. I feel so bad.

 

this shit is on NPR, Huffpost, Guardian etc. I knew this would pick up, but I'm actually surprised it did to this magnitude. Not because of the severity of the story, but I didn't realize a story regarding Brand New, no matter what the content, would have this much pull.

It's crazy to look at the juxtaposition between now and only a month ago. We were just praising this band for finally making it to the number 1 spot on the charts. Ugh. What a fucking way to go out, jesus christ...

This was 17 years in the making. They built up their cult status to the point where they were finally being noticed by the mainstream media, only for it to backfire with these allegations. Serves him right.

 

I made the mistake of reading some posts on the FB announcement about the cancellation of the UK shows and it was a lot of variations of this.

I always assumed due to keeping a low profile he was a reserved guy who wanted to be left alone. I mean that can be true and at the same time he can be a sexual predator but I assumed he was a simple non predatory person.
