it's a tough line because i absolutely do not want to be the one in charge of a woman's decisions (and i absolutely don't blame her for anything, it's solely on his pursuit and allowing this to happen) but we've seen so many of these scenarios turn badly, especially because this did come from a place of idolization.

jeez i'm in my room and my roommates have the news on and it was talking about "sexually assaulting teenage girls while in his 30s" and it's talking about roy moore but for a second i almost though they were talking about jesse

 

I made that decision after reading his statement. I have no urge to turn them on, but I literally blasted SF the night before the first woman came forward. So it’s very fresh and at times pops into my head.

I don’t get angry at myself when it happens, but it bums me out. It’ll fade though for me.

 

The story coming from Emily just makes everything regarding that isanyoneup thing so much more horrifying than I ever could have thought. We all saw pictures of her abuse and all that happened was laughing that it was a leaked dick pic.

I need clarification on that as well. ALSO, if it's a matter of how time has passed, now it's time to dig and go further. Meaning, all the other shit that was talked about him literally doing this years ago by account of a woman on twitter for someone that she knew, it seemed legit.

This fucker HAS to go to jail. This isn't right and NO, he doesn't deserve forgiveness, just like Ian Watkins never will deserve forgiveness. Fuck this.

 

Apologies if this is a stupid question, but if this happened right before SF was about to drop, we’d have never heard anything from it, right? Or would they drop it a year or two later or maybe use it as a way to provide relief for those affected in terms of donations?

 

Pretty sure statute of limitations doesn't apply to sexual cases concerning minors.

Contemplated bringing this up because I was wondering if I should’ve known something was off with these guys years ago.

If I recall correctly, he did some pretty shitty things (not sexual assault as far as I know) some years back, but could be misremembering. Maybe @Jason Tate has an idea of what I’m vaguely referring to.

re: tattoos

whenever someone says "what could ever happen to make me regret getting this?" my mind has a tendency to go in this direction. can't believe we're here though.

 

I know a lot of us are still debating whether to include Science Fiction on our AOTY lists, but do you think major publications like Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, etc. will still include it?

Personally its such a tough thing to decide. I'd be lying if I didn't think it was one of my favorite albums of the year before last week, but I also think I would feel so uncomfortable seeing their name listed in a positive way on those sites.

 

I almost got a Brand New tattoo twice. The second time was last month, and I planned on getting both thighs done. Thank God I went a different direction.
