    A DILAPIDATED BOAT! Prestigious

Listening to JR talk about the Ryback thing on Cheap Heat put the Ryback thing into perspective. He said that stars get paid higher than the rest of the roster like any sport or any form of entertainment but winning and losing has nothing to do with it, that a higher card card guy could lose to a lower card guy and he'd still get paid more.

To me the spear has become like a super kick - so many people have used it at this point that it's lost its impact as a finisher.

Loading the arm is the worst. Very much a thing a kid would like though.

no it definitely is, i was joking. or like when he does his shout before the spear is the worst also.

and in the ryback situation he really doesn't hold any of the cards. he can complain about his WM spot and thinking he deserves to be paid more, but they can easily find someone else to take his spot who will do it no questions asked.

One of the biggest complaints the Performance Center and NXT got early on, especially from the territory era guys, was that a green wrestler can't get much better by wrestling another green wrestler.

Do you think WWE bringing in so many ex TNA and Indy guys is them just trying to give their more seasoned home grown talent more experience by working with these guys?

Yeah I think the cocking and screaming he does are way too unnatural. I would like Roman if he stopped doing shit like that and was more "grounded" I guess. But yeah targeting kids.

Hard to say. I want to say yes, but the way they shot AJ up has me a little concerned. Obviously he is an exception, but it is clear that all of his promo time in TNA helped them in there decision to sign him. Joe could definitely move up to the main roster and fuck guys up. Austin is a great character when he is utilized well. His TNA character is what Dean Ambrose should be imo. Whether they ever use him as that or have him eventually jobbing to the homegrown guys has yet to be seen. I think they are trying to legitimize some of these guys before they have Ciampa and Gargano going over on them.

As for guys like Storm, Young, and likely Roode, I have a feeling they are just going to wrestle a handful of times and take the place of the old NXT champs coming down to wrestle the champs. Those matches where the Ascension, Neville, or anyone else came back always felt half-hearted anyways.

@Henry i wonder how people returning from injury will affect AJs spot or what they would have done with him had these injuries not occurred. I wonder if he would have gone straight to the main roster had Rollins, Cena, Orton been there

All I know is I'm ready for the eventual 5 star match Rollins/Styles put on.

I don't think AJ has to worry about his spot at all

The amount of possibilities for what the roster will be within a year or so is insane. Between AJ, Rollins, Nakamura, Sami, KO, etc. there will be so many great matches coming up in the future. And I know some of these guys have faced off previously (either in this company or others) but still it's something to be excited about no matter how times you see it.

ROH event on a baseball field in Brooklyn. I'm a little reluctant to jump on that one. It's the week after Summerslam so at Least it won't be interfering or making the traffic too much worse. What to do?

I think they did that last year, too. Field of Honor, I believe. Looked like a pretty fun event. I'm still debating what shows to hit up that month. Ideally, my first choice would be NXT, but my friends are a bit more casual followers so they'd be looking to do Summerslam I'm sure.

The previous Field of Honors were good although a bit awkward looking with the small crowds at a baseball field haha

I was going to say something similar. I went to a TNA "Basebrawl" a few years back - it was interesting. The ring was on home plate and they golf carted everyone out from right field. There was just a lot of empty space and not the best turn out.

    Jalen Ramsey is the GOAT

See, i don't have an issue with Roman's spear because he's a big dude who can every blue moon make i actually look devastatng, i just wish that he used the powerbomb as his finisher instead of the goddamned superman punch. Just because you are midair when you punch someone doesn't make it more devastating as it would when you had your legs on the ground. I could see it being something he uses to knock someone down but as a finisher it sucks. Plus Seth Rollins has a variation of the powerbomb that looked devastating and he's a smaller man than Roman (It looked really devastating at Night of Champions lol) if Roman were to do a powerbomb as a finisher i would take him more seriously plus he would be more entertaining than having only one other good looking move (Drive By)

I wanna say I've seen him put some people away with the superman punch. Yeah his spears aren't always convincing. He should do a jackhammer or something along those lines.

I think he's beat Luke Harper and Erick Rowan with it a lot of times, I'm also pretty sure he's put down various jobbers like Zack Ryder, Mark Henry, and Fandango with it. He might have also beat Neville with it because Neville is small enough to literally die from one of those spears.
