I'm at our women's gymnastics meet tonight. UF's team is so legit. We've won the national championship 3 years in a row and we have an Olympic medalist on our team.

 

Lmao this girl from UNC just used "Crazy Train" as the music for her floor routine.

 

I don't know anything about gymnastics other than the Olympics, but I enjoy that and I want to see that routine haha

 

Should've gone with "Rollin"

 

So stoked for the Olympics. The only time I really care about sports.

Aww, the girl who is the Olympic medalist, Bridget Sloan, just got a perfect 10 for her floor performance. This was the final event for her last home meet ever as a student here.

 

Honestly, while I love the community that AP.net had in the Politics forum (even though I mostly just lurked), I think there's benefit to said thread being amongst the more general population, you know?

Like, I made a "Representation in Entertainment/Media" thread here like there was one on AP.net, but I made it in the Entertainment Forum this time because I'd like for those conversations to be happening amidst the actual general entertainment conversations.

Just a thought.

shit, if the event is televised, i can give myself heart palpitations getting into it. i realized i have a tiny problem when i was screaming during an archery competition.

 

but yeah I'll watch swimming and gymnastics and USA basketball

 

I'm always disappointed with how few events they actually air

 

that new michael phelps under armor ad is awesome. cheering on that guy in the 08 olympics was so much fun in the thread we had on AP

 

I will watch just about any Olympic sport. All of them are rad, even race/speed walking.

I live for watching the speed walking. That shit looks so hard and the rules are pretty crazy. Saw a girl in the last olympics get disqualified like 100ft from winning. I cried a little bit for her.
