I'm all for a mid-south team, whether it be in Tennessee or the Carolinas, gotta fill in those gaps.

As much as I think MLS should be past hiring guys with no managerial experience, I'd feel way better about hiring Friedel, who played for 60 years in the Premier League and is probably way more in tune with what is expected of a professional manager than guys like Jay Heaps or Ben Olsen.....who played in MLS when guys were eating fast food after training sessions.

So earlier this week, Southgate says that Wilshere can't play for England until he's gotten more playing time for Arsenal.

Today, Southgate said he spoke to Drinkwater who told him he's not fit enough to play.

So Drinkwater is able to be called up despite playing a shitload less than Wilshere has this season. Fucking knobend of a manager. Hope England fail at the World Cup harder than the previous tournaments and Southgate is never heard of again.

Yeah this pissed me off too. That said, Jack seems to be taking it well and I think he knows he will get a call up again, he just has to keep working hard and at this rate, I'd rather he was playing than Ozil or Sanchez (which is a dilemma that may be solved come January anyway).

Different positions. Xhaka is a deep playmaker, Jack is a number 10 or attacking mid.

Plus Xhaka is actually very good for us most of the time, he's made a few mistakes but that's because he's being asked to play a different role than what his strengths are. He shouldn't have to be our entire midfield's defensive efforts. He's an incredible passer and his vision is fantastic, but he's not meant to be having to dive into tackles the whole time.

Wenger's inability to balance a team is hurting Xhaka's reputation more than the player himself imo. He was pretty good at BMG when paired with an actual DM, and not someone like Elneny or Coquelin who chase after the ball like headless chickens lol

i've seen xhaka gift goals with horrendous passing plenty of times, didn't he do one recently where he missed a five-yard pass and the other team went down the field and scored

Yeah it has happened occasionally. Xhaka has our most assists this season though, so I don't blame him.

Again, none of our players are playing well, but he is in no way to blame for any of our issues. Pretty much every single player bar perhaps Kos, Kolasinac and Lacazette have been making mistakes and I don't blame the players, it's clearly a motivation and tactical issue.

Evra banned for 7 months, 10k fine and Marseille have terminated his contract. Shame to see his career end in this manner, really like the guy (despite him being a former United player lol). Got to wonder why he reacted to that fan the way he did.
