They've kept a pretty regular schedule of releasing an album every 2 years so I dont doubt they're getting the gears turning for a new album.

Apparently Jordan's getting sued for crowdsurfing onto the head of someone at a concert and they didn't even serve him before letting it go public

My girlfriend just told me about this and my first thought was, why would you be at an ETID show and not expect something like this could happen?

I had a feeling something like this would happen when they announced a tour with Taking Back Sunday. Those crowds probably don't mesh very well. That's a huge bummer that will likely effect their live shows from now on.

It's what happened to me though, I just booked my 4th MRI in 4 years related to an injury I got when Jordan landed on my head while I was looking back to avoid getting hit by the circle pit behind me.

I'm not taking sides, cause I mean really if you do suffer a concussion and a fracture, and say you don't have health insurance (which wouldn't surprise me given the current state of our healthcare system), it can be extremely costly. I know the risk of going to a show and I get both views. It's a really grey area imo. However, calling a fracture and concussion (I've had a few) catastrophic injuries is embellishing to say the least. Talk about picture painting journalism.

It's a tough situation for sure. I think if they were the headliner for the tour it would be a little different but being a supporting act they're going to have a crowd that won't know what to expect. I hope they're not going to try to rake him over the coals because of it.

Not to speculate about her injuries, but concussions can have varying degrees of severity. If she had a grade 3 concussion, then it's possible she has permanent cognitive deficiencies or other injuries as a result.

In a court case like so she'll represent documented reports of her injuries right? Hope to hear a follow up about it when the hearing comes to fruition.

It's just that the article seems to intend to paint a picture of a dangerous scene and a musician who is careless. Given I know Jordan's high energy and wild onstage, but he certainly never intends bodily harm when he jumps into the crowd. In a journalism/media course I took I got some insight in how it's done.

To start, the top of the article shows a photo of Jordan seemingly leaping feet first from very high, and you see the crowd's hands below. What people won't get from the photo is that he's actually onstage and just jumping straight up, and not on the crowd. But it looks bad given the nature of the article. Photo isn't from the show either, but you can't see that info unless you click on it. Then the quotes that paint the picture:

"Lept from the stage directly on her head."
    "Catastrophic injuries."
"Buckley didn't warn them of his intent."
"She was completely caught off guard."

It looks very, very bad for the music scene and Jordan all around.

Regardless of the hyperbolic language used in the article, it's possible she may have a legitimate claim. I don't know if the Crofoot had notices posted about stage diving or moaning to absolve them of liability if an incident like this were to happen or the setup of the place (barrier, security, etc.), but if she was injured as a result of him landing on her then he at least has some liability here. She possibly should have been paying more attention, but if she suffered injuries as a result then some of the onus is on Jordan.

The only hyperbolic language that I might agree with is her injuries being catastrophic potentially. People have had personalities altered and severe cognitive impairments occur as a result of serious concussions. If she's unable to work, doesn't have insurance, and is repeatedly attending PT, then her costs may be astronomical.

I do agree that the rest of the article paints a grim picture with some misleading info. The timing of it before him being served is also a bit fishy. I don't want to see anything happen to Jordan and the rest of the crew either so let's just let this bad boy play out and see what happens.

Oh definitely, the top portion of my post agrees with what you said, and I stated similar sentiments about the costs and possible severity of it as well. I just took notice to how I was reading an article, and having been to a lot of their shows/seeing Jordan do his crowd surf every time, in my head I was like "this is not what an ETID show should sound like in my head." They love their fans, they're amazing performers and give 100% every time. Jordan isn't a careless asshole who would jump to harm.

Does anyone remember the name of the shitty action movie they made with some other bands they were touring with? I’ve been digging to find it again and am having no luck
