probably play the same amount of games every year. There are some people who can do like five different 12 hour games in two to three weeks but that just burns me out.

You didn't seem to have a problem with DKCR and that game was challenging af. I mean it wasn't impossible but I'd be lying if I said I didn't get stuck in some of the levels for a time, especially those "runner" type levels where the screen moves along with you.

 

are we counting Mario Kart 8 if it’s just a deluxe version of a previous year game

 

Idk how much harder it is but I'm definitely better at straight platformers than I am at the kind of 2D shooter Cuphead is.

 

not sure, but if it was released this year on a new platform i included it (similar with Isaac)

Oh got it. Not sure how I feel about 2D shooters, and it seems like Cuphead shooting is eight-directional, which is a different kind of challenging but I'll probably still check it out regardless.

 

Cuphead is the nicest looking game ever.

It's also a dumb & twitchy bullethell game and I can't stand it.

 

Yeah it's still very good and fun I just don't have much experience with a game like that so I suck at it, ha.

 

Everyone sucks at Cuphead. That's kind-of the point.

 

haha i actually didn't realize it was a bullet hell so i made a dumb comparison to a platformer

so it looks like I'll finally have some use for that Contra skillset after all

 

I've seen some people on YouTube that are gooood at Cuphead, haha.

 

Whoa dude, chill. I was just being snarky because of the earlier conversation in here that's all.

But yeah actually it kind of does, honestly. I wasn't sure if there was that much hype around it or not, I'm not closely following news like I used to. And personally, I'm just fine with my XB1 S anyway lol

yeah this looks fantastic. that 2 frogs boss fight is so cleverly designed

 

the soundtrack is fucking GOAT tier too

 

Love Bullet Hell/Shoot em ups! Cuphead is definitely on the list to play before the end of the year. It honestly can’t be too bad if people are speed running it in 20 minutes but I’m sure it’s a challenge.

Started Wolfenstein II and the opening act is pretty hysterical when you meet the doctor. The guy tiptoeing through the trap made me laugh pretty hard.

 

This is great for Microsoft and Xbox!

 

Just finished Arkham Asylum. I can't believe I didn't get into this when it came out. So good, starting City soon.

 

City is a massive step up imo.

 

If you like City, definitely play Origins. Same map but still really good.
