The KO/Sami was a pretty big IF right before it was brought up

But hey remember when Neville walked out and wasn’t trying to leave and it was just nonsense?

Also what is with European tours that bring out these wild issues. Seems like every time someone is booted from a tour or does some wild shit it’s in Europe.

Owens has to be there whenever Adam Cole's main roster call up happens

 

Wwe doesn’t have to worry about any other companies until they provide an easy access point for casual wrestling viewers. Sami and KO can leave wwe and us nerds will go crazy when they pop up in PWG or ROH or NJPW and then we will all watch the next wwe PPV like we always have. They’re McDonald’s of wrestling; basically too big to fail and KO/Sami leaving ain’t changing that.

 

Well, Smackdown especially...they were in South America like 2 weeks ago. They ran a house show in Santiago...then most of the roster attacked RAW the next night in Green Bay (meaning they had to route flights through Chicago probably)...then wrestle their own show in Milwaukee.

And 2 weeks later, fly to Europe. KO's dealing with a family emergency within all of that

 

Amazing part is at least a million WWE viewers dont even watch the PPVs...network subscribers are <2mil vs ~3mil TV viewers. Probably less than half of the TV audience actually watches the PPVs live.

Bigger issue would be losing die-hard fans who watch weekly and subscribe as the guys they really like fall out. If you're replacing Sami/KO with more time for Jinder...thats a loss

 

Sami/KO are two of my faves on the roster, but if you’re a wrestling nerd I think you’re crazy to unsub from the network. The back catalog alone is worth the subscriptions.

But yes, more Jinder and no Sami/KO is a loss.

 

In happier news:

 

It's not the viewers I'd worry about if KO and Sami left, it's the influence they'd have on other talent. Neville leaving seemed to be pretty eye opening. If those two left I feel like others would definitely leave too. I just selfishly want to see all my favorites on a weekly basis lol

 

Others don’t have the indie name drawing ability of those three. They’d be sacrificing a lot of money.

If wwe would be worried about subscriptions so much, then they would have used Sami better for a long time and not just since a couple of weeks.

 

so are they going to do a New Day v Shield match at SS?

 

Jinder is the face of the India tour. He's headlining it in booked title matches. He's already been advertised as a 2-time champ (as mentioned earlier). I think he wins it back on TV a week after Survivor Series, and the Styles win was to protect him going into the India tour (and give a better main event at the ppv). It's possible the Mahal is injured angle has legs and this gives him a couple weeks to heal, who knows.

I think @bones might have blown my question out of proportion. When Jericho showed up in NJPW I asked if this would risk his obvious HOF spot, and bones said something about tin foil hats
