Agreed. Honestly I never understood why DED was dismissed so much by both the fans and Mark/Travis. Aside from the ridiculously drawn out intro on Disaster and the Yelawolf verse, it was a really solid release. I wish they'd play When I Was Young live.

When I Was Young and Dogs Eating Dogs are top tier blink songs.

Great EP aside from that AvA song on it.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, DED is the best of the 3 (4 if we're counting Cali-deluxe) post reunion releases.

Every song is at least solid, with 2 or 3 being too tier songs.

I was reallllllly into DED for the first 3-4 months and then it just stopped clicking for me, and it felt like a drag to get through the five songs Front to back.. I still enjoy them from time to time if it comes up on my shuffle and while I think the production was better than neighborhoods, I just don’t ever feel the urge to listen to it. I may be biased towards it just cause it almost didn’t feel like an official release sorta thing.

It’d be nice to have it on vinyl at least lol

DED was okay. Totally forgettable though. I never bother listening to it.

Yup and it was probably the only time that Tom was fully invested in blink since the reunion and it showed. He seemed genuinely excited about recording and releasing it on social media.

It was the last hope and the potential savior for Modlife. That is the ONLY REASON.

FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

I love the title track but I still like more songs on Neighborhoods so I never listen to DED. Like once every two years. I'd rather listen to any other blink. Still just feels more like AVA songs featuring Mark and Travis. Which makes them not bad, but they're just good AVA songs with a +44 title track to me lol

About this. I like DED, its ok. I revisit it sometimes. But i prefer neighborhoods more than it, and then most of everything else theyve ever made more then even that

Listened to DED’s for the first time in like 3-4 years and oh man did I revisit some old feelings from that dark time in my life.

Still love those songs. Pretty Little Girl is probably the last song by Tom I enjoyed (besides the obvious rap bridge).

  14. Check out "Mercenaries" by AVA. It's solid!

I love how he wanted to release that AvA EP at the same time. Clearly trying to grab all of the attention with the blink name and point it back to his personal projects. Haha

Classic tom. Didnt he also refuse to do blink interviews unless they asked about AvA too?

Ya know I haven’t given the Dream Walker album a full listen in a year or two either. I actually forgot it existed haha.

Mercenaries was just okay to me (I wish they kept Ilan’s vocals more prominent like the demos), but the only 2 songs I ever got pretty into were Teenagers & Rituals and Tunnels. I’ll make my way around to it this December!

Mercenaries is a great song, but I just wish they did without the pointless intro.

Still think the best songs from that album are Tunnels and Bullets in the Wind, though.
