i'm writing a book, leave me alone.

I've always been curious why he got a main event push during Punk's reign. Was it just Vince being Vince and Ryback being a big guy? Injuries? No other ideas? Granted I think it was during the season where viewership is at its lowest, but still. That seemed way too quick and way, way, way incorrect. I actually feel bad for Punk that part of his 400+ day championship reign contains 2-3 matches against Ryback.

I didn't look it up, but I think Ryback replaced someone who was injured in a feud with Punk or something.

Somebody got hurt. I think it was Cena. The rest was Vince being Vince and skyrocketing a guy that has barely debuted.

In 2012 Cena got hurt and Ryback was probably the most over babyface at the time besides maybe Bryan and Orton, and Bryan had just done a program with Punk

Bryan was still a heel and a very good one. Punk was kind of an untouchable face but when he turned heel at Raw 1000, suddenly there wasn't really anyone for him to work with when Cena got hurt.

Edit: I forgot Bryan turned face-ish with Team Hell No. Regardless he was busy with other things.

Those Bryan vs Punk matches were great. Especially the one at Extreme Rules. Incredible.

  7. Still hurts that we have to talk about Bryan and Punk in the past tense.

Bryan v. Punk was the height of DB's career. I've said this before.

well yeah I thought that was a given. If we bring in outside stuff it's an entirely different discussion.

Two actual Smackdown spoilers. Neither of which progress any stories or are match results or anything. Just huge lolz.

Anderson and Gallows approached Styles backstage and told him that in order to beat Reigns, he has to become more extreme.

Darren Young approached Bob Backlund backstage, asking him to be his mentor. The Hall of Famer promised to "make Darren great again.

I'm seriously just worried that Vince is using Trump's platform as a way to push his agenda on fans. They also maybe shouldn't be using the one person on their roster that Trump would probably have a problem with.

I'm probably looking too deep into this.

Not sure how many people watched the last NJPW show, but Tanahashi vs. Kenny Omega will be the first ladder match in NJPW in almost ten years. That's so crazy.

Stone cold gave the Reigns-Styles match 5 stars heh.

I actually really, really love the match too outside of the finish.

  18. The match was great. The ending obviously sucked but everyone knew it was coming. I just hate seeing AJ be the reason the match was so good only to lose so anti-climatically. Reigns winning isn't a bad finish but the way it happened was terrible.

The extreme rules match will be fun. I expect some more awesome spots from AJ.

It was really overbooked. Hard to see how it's anywhere close to 5 stars.

I'd give it a **** 1/4, certainly had a lot fun watching it (maybe the wonkiness of it all added to it)

    A DILAPIDATED BOAT! Prestigious

It was a good match but yeah 5 stars is a little much, especially since it wasn't even the best match on the card. Stone Cold also said it was the best WWE PPV he's seen in years which is a little much.

Meltzer will probably give Styles/Reigns about 4 stars give or take a quarter point.

I didn't think Reigns was terrible in the match. I liked some of the power moves actually and him being arrogant about it. Too bad they won't let him be a monster heel
