can you program in other peoples faces like you could program in multiple fingers for fingerprint scan?

that's a bummer. i love the size of the plus.

i wonder if a plus sized version of this phone would come in the future.
do we think this is going to be an every year phone now? or will new X models maybe come out less frequently?

 

When I made the jump to Android earlier this year it was primarily because I wanted something new. I had the iPhone 4,5, and 6, and always felt like I had been buying the same phone. Android was not the change I really wanted, this feels like the change I wanted. Still very familiar, but all new at the same time.

 

I want Face ID on the Mac so bad now.

 

Day 2 going well so far.

Already completely in on the swipe gesture. The thing I was most worried about was the lack of a button. I thought muscle memory would make me slow on the device to get to apps and back and forth. Nope. My brain figured it out easily and it may just be placebo, but I think I'm already faster on this thing multitasking.

Biggest flaw so far is that I can't find images big enough / that look good enough to be a wallpaper. The size of the screen and the notch make my usual "graph" paper not look very good. So, back to the drawing board.

 

I never bothered messing with notifications directly from the lock screen, but Face ID has definitely changed that. Having them expand once my face is recognized is so dang rad.

I’ve had a few instances where I accidentally touch something in an app while sliding up to go home (happens in overcast a good bit and I pause what I’m listening to), but that’s really the only “issue” I’ve had so far.

 

Anyone have a recommendation for a good TV show tracker?

 

I've tried a bunch to see if something would work, but I hate them. Haha.

Trakt.tv has a bunch that work with their service, I think Couchy was my favorite, but none I liked as much as I do Letterboxd for movies.

Turned on screen recording, opened up the Animoji preview part in iMessage ... played the song while screen recording and "singing." Turned off screen recording, sent video to iMac, dubbed in the song, cropped the video, trimmed it to match the lip synching.

Because ... I wanted the whole first verse.

 

Awesome news (for me): Sunglasses work with Face ID.

 

It is really hard to find wallpapers for this phone right now.

 

Went with an abstract one I made for the background, it's like a purple blur, and a chorus logo for the lock screen. Need to figure out a better lockscreen at some point.

 

This is mine for both. I like the colors, but I want more options because I know I’ll get bored with it.

 

Oh yes, look at all those RTs and likes. My content is popular and it fuels my soul.

Well it’s weird for me because holding the phone, the screen doesn’t really look tall or anything but the screenshots look very tall. Its weird. I’m guessing it’s the difference in notch vs no notch.

 

Nah I downloaded it from somewhere. Similar but different colors.

 

I think I'm just used to seeing something in the middle top (clock or notch) so just having the wallpaper with nothing else looks weird to me. With the notch the gap looks natural but on the screenshot it just looks like a waste of space haha

 

I’m waiting for the poop emoji singing to family reunion.

 

It's gonna be really cool when games start taking advantage of the notch not showing up in screenshots
