When Dustin said they're playing some older songs they've never played live before on this tour, I began hoping it was that one.

 

I'm hoping the same thing! This is one of the best Thrice song!

 

Listening to the Alchemy Index and I have to say that the Fire EP is not very good.

 

If we were on Reddit, I'd have downvoted you.

But alas, I must remember that you're entitled to your opinion. The Fire EP is the strongest set of songs in the whole Index.

 

reading your post and I have to say that it is not very good. but yes, you are entitled to your own opinion. it just hurts my heart real deep.

 

I like Fire. The first two songs are some of my favorites from the entire Index. However, I prefer Air and Water. It still makes for an incredible EP, though.

 

@Kevin360 @dead_fm I love the other 3 but can't get into that one. Not sure what it is, but I've never been into Fire since its release.

 

No worries! You like what you like.

As a whole, I don't revisit the Index often, but when I do, I crank Firebreather to maximum volume and get hyped,

 

Those gang whoa's at the end of Firebreather get me so good every time.

 

Firebreather may be one of their best live songs bar none.

Agreed. I'd put Beggars in between the 2 Alchemy Index releases if I were to rank them.

 

Definitely my favorite opener from them. It's not my favorite on the album, but I think it may be my favorite live out of the fire songs.

 

If I had to rank all the Index songs, Messenger, Firebreather and Burn the Fleet would be the top 3 without a doubt.

 

so bummed this tour isn't coming to Dallas. I need to find a way to get to that Austin show. Being that they are playing songs they haven't played in a while/ever makes this a must for me.

 

As much as I love heavy Thrice the Water EP will always be my favorite from the Index, but Fire is still very good.

I could watch the House of Blues Anaheim video everyday. I was so happy when they opened with it at their second show back in Pomona last year.

Super interesting to see the diverse song choices for album faves. I'm super curious now to when you all discovered Thrice??

My Thrice testimonial is that I had heard the single All Thats Left on the radio, didn't care for it much, but would record punk bands on VHS when they would play on late night TV. Recorded Thrice playing all thats left on Kimmel, followed by like 1.5 minutes of Artist in The Ambulance....and that one minute or so changed my life. I listened to that clip like 100 times, then bought the album and it was game over for me! I became obsessed till this day.

 

I definitely got into them around the same time, but I don't really remember the circumstances. I was into Thursday and I think someone had recommended Thrice to me based on that, so I bought the Artist and used to keep that in my little stack of CDs I brought everywhere. My family used to go on a lot of walks where I would put in my headphones and ignore everyone like a true teenager, and I remember listening to this record a lot while walking around the lake by my house.
