it's Converge, fuckin awesome duh

but really, this record is absolutely sick. Just when I thought they were running out of ways to keep their sound fresh they pull out a whole bunch of shit that sounds completely different than anything else they've done (but still sounding like 100%, unmistakably Converge). I think I'm going to have a stroke trying to wrap my head around all the metric fuckery in Murk & Marrow.

Title track is really cool. Love when they go doomy.

 

I'm at Murk & Marrow now. This is just stupid.

 

Trigger is another standout for me. Love the way Jake sings the chorus(?)

 

Arkhipov sounds like a horror movie. Don't quite know how to explain that one but I know it's true

 

Arkhipov is such a fucking ripper.

 

Been loving the title track for weeks - glad everyone is enjoying this

 

Under Duress is an early favourite. I'm only 6 tracks in, though.

Cant say this is there best record since Ive only listened to the last 3 and only 4-5 times each, but this is definitely the record Ive most enjoyed from them.

 

This is definitely my favorite release of the past 3.

Vinyl still hasn’t shipped yet but I’ll get the digital download on Friday so that’ll tide me over. Really excited to listen to this one. What’s the ratio of faster songs to slower? Singles all seem different from each other but all awesome

 

There’s two I would call “slow.” But they both rule. There’s a great variety of fast hardcore stuff, mathy chaos, doom, thrash, etc.

 

His vocals are one of very few that make my the hairs on my neck stand up at times. I don't know how to explain it, there's like a shrill breakage in his voice he's always had that I love.
