Dude a very similar situation is going on with my gf's brother. Who recently got dumped onto us.

i am not currently in a situation like this, but was 5 or so years ago with one of my best friends/the guy i currently live with. he was 22, never had a job, never had a relationship, and was sleeping on the bottom bunk of a bunk bed he shared with his 34 year old brother who never left home. his family just never pushed him or his siblings to get out there. so we got wasted, and i told him that i know how depressed he gets and that every day spent wasting away down the road from our high school was gonna make it worse. it worked, and he moved in and i covered his rent for the first three months as getting a job was near impossible for him being 22 with no experience.

now he's in mad good shape and has a girlfriend and manages the cafe he started working at five years ago
