I really hate Ezekiel’s schtick

I kind of zone out when he's talking because of it. Uses so many words to say so little.

 

Speaking of zoning out, what does it say as a huge fan of this show that even though this ep was all action, I zoned out a ton.....

 

I zone out constantly now. I feel like I'm distracted half the episode at this point.

 

Yet, you get to next episode and have missed absolutely nothing relevant. It's kind of sad honestly. I used to look forward to TWD season so much.

 

Ok I felt that it was based on their body language and I thought I remembered him having one but apparently that dude's face is just not memorable to me

 

Yeah I was watching old clips on youtube and I was thinking exactly how much I looked forward to this show. Yesterday I was like three minutes late putting it on and was in no rush

 

It's because the damned commercial breaks disrupt the flow to a jarring degree. I expect I will enjoy last night's episode much more on re-watch when I can skip the interruptions.

 

I honestly just think the action scenes are weak and filmed/editing poorly. I don't need some John Woo shit (but that would be amazing), but I need something other than everyone shooting thousands of bullets with no environment damage going on around them, and every now and then someone gets hit.

Every other aspect of the show is so well done, but they have always had a problem with firefights. I remember thinking the same thing in season 4 with the Governor attacking the Prison.

To be fair, fire fights are not what this show is about and all my favorite moments aren't huge action moments.

 

Did Heath die at some point or is he is just sitting the war out?

 

He and Tara got separated at the end of the S7E6 - the episode where they were at the Oceanside community. I assume he’s still alive and will be back at some point in a future season

 

The scenes with Jesus and Tara were brutal. The dialogue was so bad and over the top. And literally laugh out loud at Morales...Like, who cares?

I'm glad the dude from This is Us was sitting right next to Scott Gimple on Talking Dead and shaded the show by saying 'I think they were just trying to set a Google Search record because everyone had to run to Google to see who it was.'

 

And Ezekiel MUST go.

 

Ezekiel sucks so bad lol. Does he talk that way in the graphic novels or what?!

 

Ezekiel is pure comedy to me. I think that's his purpose at this point.

I'll be honest, I didn't hate this episode as much as the premiere. I thought that the scene of Rick believing he was onto the guns when that guy was protecting the room, killing the guy, and then finding his infant was pretty well done. That'd be pretty rough to find out I think. Plus, the fight choreography was a step up for once.

 

For sure, moments like that are great. I just think the actual gun fire fights are always weak.

 

Yeah, I actually was thinking that as well. But, then I kind of gave them a little bit of slack when the girl leading the Savior's realized the group they were battling weren't pressing forward or being more aggressive, they were a decoy. I honestly found myself caught off guard a few times by this episodes self awareness with little things like that. But I won't get my hopes too high.
