Throw in the corpse of Trent Richardson and they'll give you a 2019 first as well!

Kirk is 29?!?!?!?!? holy fuck. i thought this was like his fourth year in the league / he was like 25-26

Sat 3 years behind RG3. Now his 3rd year as a starter. Redshirted and played all the way into his senior year of college.

And the man he backed up in college...Brian Hoyer

I'm cool with this. I wasn't super high on Kirk, even though he's played well this year, and the only QB prospect that I've really watched and come away liking is Lamar Jackson, who I doubt they would have taken. 2nd to roll with Jimmy G who has impressed in his limited time is fine, hope they don't play him til Staley and Brown are back though.

    What happened to Lamar Jackson?

Nothing. That's the problem haha. He's still Lamar and the rest of his team is still shit.

  8. I know nothing about talent eval but everytime I watch baker Mayfield I'm impressed but I'm sure he will suck

    The rivalry is back on

I don’t quite get the TY rumors either. I don’t blame them for listening, but I can’t imagine Luck would be happy with 0 WRs on the 2018 roster

    I like Mayfield.

i feel like my hesitancy with Mayfield is that Oklahoma / Stoops only really made one NFL-caliber quarterback in all his years there (Bradford). the QB's always put up good numbers but only Bradford translated to the NFL (i think).

damn. knew he played 4/5 years at Michigan State, but didn't know he sat behind RGIII. wait... that was the same draft, right? i remember Kirk being like a 5th round pick and everyone was baffled why they "wasted" the pick on him when they picked up their all-pro with the second overall pick.

I feel the same way about Mason Rudolph.

Also 49ers have like a trillion dollars in cap space, they can afford to franchise him for a year if they don't want to give him a long term deal yet.

There’s an element of panic in this trade. Fans aren’t coming to the stadium to spend money. I’m sure their merchandise sales have taken a big hit too. He’s 25 and ready to go.

I doubt there's any panic, Lynch and Shanny are on 6 year deals and it's unlikely York had any say on this. Shanny just likes him

That seems like way too much for him IMO

Not the way he's playing this year....not to mention that there isn't a lot of DL available right now.

With that, I'd rather keep Vinny and not break up what's going on with this DL now.

This ends with the Jags giving Lynch his pick back.

So this was planned to trade for a QB mid season? They could’ve done this around draft time 5 months ago.
