Some people are upset he used the n-word. The correspondents dinner started in the earlier part of the twentieth century, so I'm sure it was a staple until we took the word back.

    Word. Happy May Day, comrades!

"The first of May demanded the introduction of the eight-hour day. But even after this goal was reached, May Day was not given up. As long as the struggle of the workers against the bourgeoisie and the ruling class continues, as long as all demands are not met, May Day will be the yearly expression of these demands.

And, when better days dawn, when the working class of the world has won its deliverance then too humanity will probably celebrate May Day in honor of the bitter struggles and the many sufferings of the past."

So, I just found out that Ted Cruz would be appearing at my work for dinner tomorrow night in Bloomington, and that I'll be his server. On one hand, I'm a pretty staunch Dem, and have been for most of my adult life. So I object to almost all of his policies, On the other, my father is a pretty prominent minister in town, and I'm supposed to kiss his ass for basically the entire night. Not sure if this post really has a purpose, i'm just trying to find a way to make it clear I'm opposed to his ideals, but still keep my job.

So I'm not a big Wilmore fan, so I wasn't expecting to care much for his correspondence speech, especially after the criticism directed towards him for it.

However, I watched it and, for the most part, he knocked it out of the park. The stuffy white aristocrats weren't very receptive, but he was exceptionally bold. I didn't care for the Zodiac bit or the sign off, but otherwise it was very impressive. The Steph Curry line was incredible-- very few comedians were venture into that territory.

Man the material they gave Obama was way better than Wilmore's imo. Or maybe Obama's comedic delivery is somehow better.

I wonder what it looks like to other countries when they see this reality TV meltdown of a presidential race we're having.

Exit polls are out and looking pretty good for Bernie (and Trump). Here are some highlights fro the democrats:

-Almost half of voters are under 45 years old, which is higher than the average has been
-Clinton only has a small lead for which candidate would do better against Trump, a topic she usually does very well
-Only a little more than half say Clinton is trustworthy, over 80% say Sanders is trustworthy
-Support for more liberal policies is higher than the average in other states

Of course all of this correct and I'm well aware of it. There is no dismantling of the systematic destruction of Arab Muslims, the theft of their land, and the empowerment of puppet governments to further Western causes in the Middle East at the cost of Muslim lives both at home and abroad. Both will do this, absolutely correct, and I know this.

My point is that one will actively empower groups to cause harm to Muslims here in the US while the other won't. You're right, Hillary will further global tensions, forget about making progress towards resolution. My issue solely relies on the groups Trump empowers. This is beyond surveillance. To parallel your example about African American women...Hillary will not stop racist cops from bringing down violence on them, but Trump will actively empower those racist authorities as well as their supporters.

If there was a better alternative who could win, I would vote for it. There isn't so I'm stuck. This is reality.
If there was a GOP president, he would be out in the news saying we need to monitor all Palestinians in America and that murdering Palestinian women and children is the duty of every American.
