I've watched too much panthers, the saints are still the same team but are gifted easy wins. They beat the lions? That's the best team they've beaten? I don't think the panthers are good. They beat the bears by a score today and a packers team without Rodgers. They'll beat a Bucs team that has 2 wins and has the 30th worse defense in the league next week, big whoop.

 

I get why they did it but the Bucs interviewed McDermott last year, they only interviewed like three coaches and licht went with the safe choice. Looks like a massive mistake, just like the franchise itself.

 

McDermott in Jacksonville would have been something.

 

Not sure it would be a ton different

 

Saints have won 5 in a row and actually have a decent defense

to write them completely off is ridiculous

 

I'll continue, let me know when they beat someone more than decent and I'll reconsider

They do. I don't think they're good like others do, that's just how I feel. Like what ya like folks.

 

They still look better than anyone else in the division though haha. They aren't legit. Just better than Carolina

lol there are like 5-6 legitimately good teams in the NFL right now. "They haven't beat anyone" is not a good argument when like 75% of the league is playing bad football

 

It matters if you're telling me a team is good, it's different than someone telling me blank team might make the playoffs but most likely because it's a down year. The saints are exactly the same but every team has gotten worse while they've not gotten better or worse and remained in the middle.

 

by that token, who have the Patriots beaten?

Also, if you think the Saints are the same as in year's past, you arent paying attention

 

I don't think the pats are good either but to think the saints have turned this corner of becoming a great all around team because they won a few games against bad teams is silly. You can buy in, I'm not judging; I just simply don't agree.

 

I think the way the Saints have won games is very important in evaluating the games they’ve won

I also never said that the Saints were a great team. All I said was counting a team thats 5-2 and has a clearly improved defense totally out of the divisional race is stupid.

 

I feel like this is an overarching theme in sports in general but especially in football, pff is one of the best tells yet even they get a ton of stuff wrong. It's hard to tell what's going right or wrong a lot unless you play on that team and know for sure.
