These hot takes about episode 7 are going to make it really difficult not to binge the whole thing today. I want to know why people are hating it.

I'm pissed at that scene in ep 4 despite seeing it coming, Dustin way down in my power rankings, 11 been weak too

I'll write you into all of my songs Supporter

Overall a very fun season. They nail cliffhangers as well

The scene transitions are really cool in this.
Lots of mini cliff hangers each episode.

Will next to Mike is like a chasm of acting ability, I'm losing the illusion cause one dude is killing it and one dude is just like hangin out

Winona is fucking great, and love Brett Gelman. The Steve/Dustin pairing is so perfect I didn't know I needed it. Steve > Jonathan all day

The momentum of the season and build up to the end of episode six is so great. Tell us how you feel after seven!

Episode 7 I liked it. Obviously it felt like a different show, but I enjoyed it! I haven't liked what they've been doing with 11 all season but this gave her some good development, a better understanding of her powers, and has her headed back to Hawkins with more drive then we've seen from her this season.
    Edit: I took a break between 6 & 7, could totally see how 7 would kill all momentum since 6 & 8 feels like a 2 parter

Was at a party last night and you could text this phone number and the message would be spelled out in the lights. It was pretty rad.

Loved the season, and I wonder where it'll go next. Not as immediate of a cliffhanger as the first season, just ominous.

FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

Through episode 7 and didn't mind it at all. I think it was the shortest episode and what's wrong with an Eleven bottle episode? Didn't mind seeing another product of the lab out there. Everybody binges this so is a 45 minute sidetrip really that big a momentum killer? I remember perfectly well how 6 ended as I'm starting 8 now lol

I'm going to start this later today. Can't wait. Did any of you watch that aftershow? Curious if it's like Talk the Thrones

Just finished, I'm satisfied, thoroughly entertained. No idea where they go next, that dance sequence was cute but generally nothing happened to allude to another season, it all went a little quick. Now the upside down is just closed but still lurking? i dunno, it was a little too clean. Episode 7 was fun and different which was nice, actual climax was good, I'd say its on par with season 1 as a whole.

This was great, just came here to echo that Steve is #1! And episode 7 was indeed odd.

Yeah ep. 7 was weird. It felt like a story arc from another season that hasn’t aired yet and if you removed it entirely the story wouldn’t change at all.

Also every character it introduced was super unlikable.

That said, while it kinda messes with the momentum of 5 and 6, if you’re bingeing it’s not too bad.
