I do that with the "ITS BEEN" from that Barenaked Ladies song whenever she talks about time/waiting lol. Drives her nuts lol.

 

1. A little known album called Science Fiction by Brand New. On my first listen I was already overwhelmed because it was new Brand New but then “Desert” came on and it hit me by surprise, just so on point with everything going on today, and exactly something I wanted Brand New to do in terms of taking hatred on so directly.

2. TWIABP’s “Fuzz Minor” on Always Foreign, especially following up such an emotional song like “Marine Tigers.” I was at a training for a group that does mental health education/workshops so I was already in a state of vulnerability and I had my first listen in my lodge room there. TWIABP is one of those bands that I feel like I connect with directly, like age-wise, emotionally, politically, and seeing a band I feel that connection to calling out Trump and letting their anger out felt cathartic. This was a similar situation to hearing “Desert” for the first time.

Hearing “Claws in Your Back” for the first time tonight just feels too real in my life right now. I’m not sure I’ll be able to listen to that song too often for a while honestly.

My local music store has Science Fiction on CD so I'll probably buy it tonight! Boost their sales, put it in my mum's car, I have all their albums on CD and I like to complete my collections lol

 

I need to do this too. Wanted to get the limited vinyl but looks like that’s not being released in the UK.
