Sorry, but you might as well have just posted nothing. Not entirely sure why my rec had to end up dismissed like that. Out of dozens of artists mentioned, and Foxes gets the (negative) conversation following it.

I've been watching Parks & Rec for the first time. Thought I would enjoy Aziz, but he really just annoys me. Adam Scott fucking slays me though.

 

subtly sexist negativity as well. "anonymous edm diva" could not be more reductive and dismissive.

 

Aziz is perfect for the vast majority of the show. It's Craig that I can't stand.

Zedd's music constantly anonymizes his collaborators, even when they have massive voices. It's a byproduct of the kind of music he produces. There is a reason why you could ask anyone on the street who Foxes is and they wouldn't know, but they could sing you her feature on that song without a second prodding. If the issue is "diva," I'm not sure what to tell you. Ariana is a diva, Mariah is a diva, etc. That's just the word I would use for a voice that can sound like a skyscraper.

There were also more positive comments about Foxes than negative. I was agreeing with Steve that she is forgettable and thought about the single instance I have even remotely approached talking about her in a critical context.

 

I have "Rollin" by Limp Bizkit (a song I haven't heard in years) stuck in my head.

So you better get some better beats, and uh, get some better rhymes.

 

I remember Rollin so much from Undertaker coming out to it in his Biker Taker days in the early 2000s.
