I can't wait for them to perform Bored to Death on late night tv. Surprised they havent booked Kimmel or Conan yet, since they're both filmed in Cali.

 

Doing a full listen through of everything Blink related. Which means, yes, going through AVA as well. This is a process lol.

I knew they were written to be singles but had no idea mark was upset about it.

 

Listening to all time low for the first time ever to prepare myself. This is beyond catchy lol. Hope they do a bunch of blink covers since that's how they started out.

 

They have like seven albums, I highly doubt they'll play a blink cover haha

if you give an album that you feel is finished and your best work to your label to release and they come back saying it's not good enough and needs another "all the small things" or something, of course you're gonna be upset.

 

yup, that's the only thing i liked by them too. "lullabies" was my jaaaaam back in the day.

God, I've almost cried. :(

 

I don't really want Tom to come back again because his heart definitely is not in Blink first, which is totally fine. I don't want him treating Blink as his side project/AVA extension when it's convenient for him. Plus, I really like the upside of Blink going forward with someone as prolific, consistent, and excited as Matt Skiba is right now. Seriously, who thought we would be talking about Blink upside in 2016? That said, I am bracing myself for the inevitable moment when Tom does want to rejoin and there's legal repercussions/possibilities if Mark and Travis don't adhere to those wishes. Basically just trying to enjoy this moment with Blink because it's not very clear how long it will last.

On the topic of All Time Low, I really dig the Party Scene album, Put Up or Shut Up, So Wrong It's Right, and Nothing Personal. I don't love every song on Nothing Personal, but there are some pretty big hooks on that thing. I think Nothing Personal suffered from really bad timing that didn't involve the band, but just the industry in general. Dirty Work and Don't Panic did not do much for me. Future Hearts has some good hooks. I really enjoy Cinderblock Garden from that album.

Never liked anything from All Time Low.

 

Not a fan of All Time Low so slightly disappointed in that but I'm so freaking pumped to see Blink again. I wasn't fully on board with the hype train last week but goddamn this band has a way of roping me in. Show at Jones Beach should be awesome.

On the topic of Tom - He's always been my favorite lol. I know he gets a lot of shit and I'm not a big fan of his recent output but goddamn I love him. I hope he comes back and has some fun with these guys at some point

 

I wouldn't mind if Tom plays a show with them at some point. I expect it. But only after the band isn't active anymore, definitely don't want to see Tom on stage with Matt at the same time. If that doesn't sound like the most awkward thing ever. I can't imagine. Idk. I'm really over Tom completely. I still enjoy Neighborhoods, nothing has changed as far as what I feel towards his work in blink. I have the old blink memories, time for new blink memories.
