I mean, I never listened to their final album. But that has less to do with the quality of the music and more to do with my life at that time.

 

I was just thinking about that the other day. I know it was tongue in cheek, but I still found it annoying.

 

I think this band fucking ruled, then we all grew up and went our own directions, such as life. All good things must come to an end.
I didn’t even touch the article after reading the title lol.

I don’t know why I thought of it today.

 

Plus I mean, no they weren't at their peak popularity when they went out, but it's not like they were playing to empty rooms either. They could have easily continued doing the House of Blues circuit.

For what it's worth, I agree with all the choices made this round. The 3 best songs from the record are still in the game, so I am pleased. Now one of these match ups is brutal, and the other should be easy, but hey what do I know.

... I think Days Will Run Away and Even If It Kills Me are my favorite (and better) closers

 

"Even If It Kills Me" slightly yeah but "Hold Me Down" annihilates "Days Will Run Away".

 

Days Will Run Away is not even the best song on Panic Stations so...

 

Come to think of it, all of their closers are very strong. Each one of them is in my top 3 on their respective albums, without exception.
